Have been looking at these myself over the last few days, we have just ended our 8th straight day of big electrical storms (and big rainfall) they says there's a few days to go yet.

The only successful strike I've captured was a bit of a fluke

K5 - USB or 12V Battery Recharging

Reviving an old thread, has anybody had success with the 12V charger shown above ? I note it appears to have only 2 terminals where the normal charger has 3 (they obviously have some function). During a recent trip I endeavoured to use a Hahnel Unipal charger, without much success. Been looking for a viable solution, other than inverter and the mains charger.

Has anyone used something like the Hahnel Unipal charger ?

Appeals to me as universal charger - I tend to have an assortment of batteries needing chargers when we are away.

Picked up one of these a couple of days ago but haven't really had a chance to get out with it yet, hopefully will get some pics over the next week. Certainly some great shots in this thread though.

So if I'm in Australia and buy a lens from B&H (as I've been known to do) whose economy am I supporting ??

Initial purchase I probably wasn't far off the money either bag/batteries/filter plus other sundries

This one from a recent fire (I do wildfire investigations) we were picked up from a rock in the middle of a river in the Blue Mountains.

This may give a better perspective

New to the forum, but not quite so new to Pentax, have a K10 and now a K5 as well as an old MZ-7 film body. Hoping to pick up hints to improve my pics
