nice one. we did almost the same but not with photography. my mum went up to inverness to enquire about contacts and myself and dad went shopping and low and behold we ended up at the car showrooms. ended up buying a brand new 206gti180 (one of the last to be registered). 2 weeks later back up to pick up the car and contacts with my grandpa and he bought a brand new jaguar xkr. dad says he will never go to a opticions again haha

brill, i was have a flick through ebay and saw a set for sale for £12 ($25-30) and thought surely they cant do anything, not for that price but it might be worth a shot as with buying the camera the funds arnt allowing a new lens just yet.

cheers for all the advice guys much appreciated.

right, this has probably been discussed 1000 times but ive searched the forum and nothing.

id like both a telephoto and macro lens, i think ive decided on my telephot being the da 50-200 as i already have the 18-55mm and purchasing a seperate macro . like the 50mm f2.8 EX DG Macro?

or would i benefit more by getting the 70-300 f4-5.6 Di LD Macro and have the macro built in?

cheers james

it helps alot, money isnt really a prob (sounds terrible, but i work for it). i would spend a bit more and get something ill keep for a few years rather than get one that ill want to change every so often.

i reacon ill put my money where my mouth is and order one tonight :D :D .

which would be a better choice getting a k10D with standard lens pack(upgrading after) or the k100D and getting a good lens?
ill be photographing motorsport more than other things but id like the option.
