I bought the Tamron in October and all my shots have been razor sharp. However, I keep to MTF sweet spot of f 6.7 (below 70mm) or 8.0 above. Neither will be the fastest lens around, but for travel, it is a one-lens-does all. I would have been happy to buy Pentax if they had shipped earlier. Someone said next spring, maybe. The Tamron is here now.

Remember that the handheld rule is the MINIMUM. If you want a decent photo or intend to enlarge, fast is better. SR buys an extra 2 stops; a Monopod buys an extra 2 stops; a cable release, even hand-held, buys an extra stop. Pressing camera to a hard surface (tree wall) buys an extra 2 stops, maybe more. If you can accept the noise, set the sensitivity up from 100 to 400, which buys an extra 2 stops. Use a tripod and get a sharp photo.

Both are Adata SDHC 2.0 Turbo Class 6 -- 4GB & 8 GB bought from Newegg.com, not ebay! I am looking for "150x" on the next set I exchange for.

K10D: I tested a Class 6 SDHC 4gb card = 12 secs to save 7 Raw DNG; 8GB Class 6 SDHC = 24 secs to save 7 RAW DNG. More may not be better. Can you buy larger than 8 GB?

On my K10D, When I shoot 7 pictures continuous RAW, it takes twice as long (24 secs) to save on an 8 GB class 6 SDHC 2.0 as it does (12 secs) a 4 gb class 6 sdhc 2.0 and even less, 9 secs on a 2gb SDHC card. Why? Is the camera bad? Or the K10D firmware? I have version 1.30 firmware loaded.
