Yes - a huge number of entries!
It would be great if we could also view thumbnails on a grid for easier side-by-side comparison.
And, having the voting check-box next to each pic would make things easier, too ! Just sayin'..... |

I am a clinical social worker, and I went to Newtown this afternoon to volunteer for the families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
At 3:15 pm, I was in the fire house, where the parents of the children who had not been accounted for had gathered.
I was surprised at how calm the room was, given that during the drive up, I heard that 20 children had been killed.
The parents, however, did not yet know this.
I then watched in horror as Governor Malloy came in and gave them the news that their kids, who until then were considered missing, were now presumed dead.
He also told them three children had been taken to Danbury Hospital; none had survived.
Some were stunned in silence, others broke down, sobbing and screaming.
It was six hours after the shooting, and their bodies were still in the school.
I felt helpless, as I imagine the other therapists, police and firefighters did, but there was really nothing for us to do at this point; it was just too intense and too soon.
My training had taught me this, I knew it from past experience, and yet again I witnessed it.
I spoke with a law enforcement officer who was there to conduct critical incident stress debriefings for the first responders: "Too soon" he said, "but that too, will come".
I am outraged.
How many more shootings must occur in the United States before our cowardly politicians, and those who take money from the NRA, can begin to develop a conscience? Because of their pandering to gun lobbyists, the blood of these kindergarten children stains their hands.
There is no other country in the world with our level of gun violence.
According to the FBI Uniform Crime Report, between 2006 and 2010 47,856 people were murdered in the U.S. by firearms, an average of 9,571 per year. That's 26 a day.
In 2008 alone,12,000 Americans were killed with guns.
The rate for Japan that year?
