When I saw the rumors in the last few months of a new Pentax with an interchangeable lens and a compact sensor, I really thought this was a rumor/joke. How could anyone want to have an EVIL/ILC camera with a sensor smaller than the G12, Panasonic LX5 etc, at prices above those fix lens choices.
Now it is announced, at a price above the price of an Olympus PEN, I really wonder if this is a good idea.
Don't get me wrong, as a long time Pentax user, I know that Pentax will do a technically very good job, but the small sensor seems like an insuperable limitation.
Meantime, my fingers are crossed that this can be marketed in this competitive world and that this foray into a dangerous world of compact sensors is not going to deprive the company of funds to develop other products. I hope Ricoh has deep pockets ard real determination.
Good luck, very best wishes!

I have just bought a small waterproof camera for kayaking - I could not bring myself to buy the Pentax (bought Panasonic) as it is just so terribly ugly. The old one was good looking, the new one looks like a joke - and Orange does not help it!
