I love 77 and K-1 combo as well. However, having owned FA77 for about 10 years, I am for the first time finding "purple fringing" on many of my pictures. They are easy to get rid of in LightRoom, but still an annoyance. Anyone else have this issue?
FYI, the lens did great on K-7 and K-5 as well, and not a single instance of purple fringing.

Pentax DA 35mm f2.8 Macro Lens Asking Price
255.00 USD Item Location
Chicago (United States) Item Description
This lens was one of my favorite walk-around lenses on my Pentax K-5, and has served me really well. The lens has taken some amazing pictures, in vivid colors and contrast, and not to forget macro.
As I have switched to K-1, I am no longer in need of this lens, and am hoping this finds a great home. The lens has been well-cared for, in a smoke-free home. The lens is optically in excellent condition and cosmetically in very good condition. The glass is free of scratches, dust, moisture, etc., and the shutter operation is smooth. The lens cap shows some sign of wear (as shown in pictures).
Sale includes the following:
- Lens
- Original lens Hood
- Original front and back lens caps
- Lens pouch
- Manual
- Original Box

I have always loved 77mm on APS-C bodies, but on K-1, I was I blown away by how easy it seemed to capture beautiful pictures. In fact, I chose it as my first lens to try on my new K-1. I'd say nothing less than magic.

The one reason I didn't mention mirrorless cameras is because I don't have personal experience with them, although I think they are worth mentioning as an alternative. The question to those who have shot both is - if you had a mirrorless camera, would you ever buy a DSLR?

My first one was K10D. When K7 came along, I resisted upgrade, sold my K10D and bought a used K100D Super, and focused on learning photography ("Auto" mode doesn't solve everything!). I still remember K100D taking lot better pictures than my K10D. ---------- Post added 02-05-16 at 07:59 PM ----------
Even advising friends, I ask them to consider Pentax. Not being biased, but to make a point that you don't need to buy a market-leader to take good pics. Plus, to share in my lens :)

Thank you for all the perspectives shared! The great thing about an idea or trying to build upon it is the validation and feedback one receives from users - positive, constructive, critical, etc. So, very much appreciate the input!

Thank you for that validation, sholtzma! These are the same issues I was investigating as part of startup way back in 2008! The biggest issue was insurance back then. Now, with companies like AirBnB, Uber, the insurance seems to be doable, as long it's scalable. ---------- Post added 01-23-16 at 12:53 PM ----------

Even before I was a member on here, I was traveling with my K10D. I was going to a wildlife refuge, but hadn't brought with me my tele lens. Couldn't borrow any locally, so had to make do with what I had. Since then, I always wondered what it would be to have an "exchange" for photographers to share lenses.
Other than getting some prototypes for how it would work, I haven't done much research (trust was a big barrier to overcome). But now that companies like AirBnB, etc. operate really well in the sharing economy, wanted to survey my fellow-pentaxians:
- Would you ever share your gear? What would it take you to do so? (assurance, etc.
- Would you ever want to share gear temporarily (shooting a wedding)?
- What do you currently use to borrow lenses?
Looking forward to your perspectives before I go full-force with this idea. Thank you!

Don't remember how this happened, but the reflector and the diffuser for my Metz 48 AF-1 got stuck within the flash, and can't pull them out. The flash is all good otherwise.
Anyone have experience disassembling the flash unit? Or, should I send it in to CRIS for repairs?
Thank you!

Shot on Mackinac Island, Michigan. The island is an epitome of how to spend your vacation without a worry. So, when I saw these two people on their bikes, I thought they captured this spirit all too well.

Taken of kids playing in a park. The youngest one, about 3, decided she will work the water fountain to splash water for the amusement of other kids. Hence, I decided to name this "The Rainmaker." No pun on troublemaker :)
