Quite the contrary. He was just grimacing because of the wind. Very memorable day for him.

Another Volvo C30 owner here (4 years now) and I also do not think the comment reflects current Volvos.

I can only speak of the Tamron 10-24 since I own it. It is a workhorse lens. Quality is great if you know what to avoid.

Way off topic but marmalade is something I know from Poland and haven't heard much about it here in the US.

Thanks so much Mark for your opinion. I've spotted one locally with a 50/2 and a K2. I've had my mind set on the 35/2.4 but this deal may be too sweet to pass up depending on the condition of the items.

Opinions on M 35/2? How does it stack up against da35/2.4?

Posted some photos to the flickr. Still have to develop that film roll (should be around 15 images there).

Thanks for the words of encouragement.
For those who need inspiration, here's a great (and exhaustive - 2h) lecture from BH about night photography. Seems perfect for these short days. You Tube |

As soon as I have time to process them. It's on my to do list but has recently been bumped down by paid work.

I'll post some of it I'm sure. It's real estate photography so not all that exciting but hey... if it pays the (lens) bills then why not? ;)

Rense is back but I am out. Missed too many in a row to be able to cover that up.
Life got busy in a good way and I am still shooting so that's a plus. I will see what February brings but for now I have to concentrate on getting/completing more paid jobs.
Good luck to all and I'll check your shots out whenever I get a chance.

I am behind too. Finally for a good reason. Been shooting and processing real jobs!
My resolution for 2012 is to turn this hobby into a source of income. So far I'm off to a positive start. I will have to do a lot of catchup here though.

Think of it as a boxing match :) The fun of this is that many can be happening at the same time.

So I've had this idea for a while.. hope you guys and gals can help make it a reality.
I want to start a new form of a photographic challenge here on PF - Photo Duels. The premise is that two members agree on a common theme (can be a topic or a photographic technique) and challenge each other to see who can take the better shot. They set the time frame for submitting the photo and choose a referee to oversee the duel. They each send their chosen photo to the referee, who posts a new thread here titled "Member A vs Member B", in which he posts the two photos as photo A and photo B, keeping the authors anonymous. He also posts a poll explaining the theme, for the forum members to vote their favorite. After a week the photo with more votes wins and the referee discloses the author's name.
The prize? The winner can brag all about it :D or we can coax Adam to do some sort of a leaderboard with some perks attached.
So... who's up for it?

The nifty fifty told me she wants a break from this bitter cold so I sent her to Hawaii. John, you're next!
I will add the photos (the digital ones) tonight.

Will do. I'll probably just upload the kx pics first and add film whenever I get a chance to get it developed.
