I am sorry, don't mean to come off as sexist. There are a ton of girls that whoop my butt around the track!
I love anyone that rides :D

I know, I rode like a big baby.
Make a long story short, in May I wrecked on the track and was medivac'd out. ER for a few days.
4 weeks later, first time on a bike a woman ran a red light and crushed me.
This was the first time back on a bike since those events. Also first time on that bike. So, I rode like a big girl!

That is a Daytona, but an incredibly prepared one. Fully worked motor pushing 140 hp at the rear wheel. Oh, and the wheels are carbon fiber. Overall bike now weighs 320 lbs wet, apparently. A true beast.
But alas, that is not my bike! I am this guy. Still plenty quick for me. IMGP3399 by DynastySS, on Flickr

Thanks!
It was once a Triumph Daytona 675 but it is incredibly custom at one point. Thing is an animal, I believe the guy must have $20,000 into it at this point. Wheels are carbon fiber!

I as at another motorcycle track/race event today. Always a ton of fun, and when I am not racing I get the chance to take some photos! I just picked up a MIJ 77mm LTD from another member, so this was my first real try out with her. I love it!
Here are the rest of the shots I thought came out ok. 09/10/12 NJMP - a set on Flickr |

Awesome, thanks for the advice.
I figured the low aperture was part of the issue. But I always shoot in AV mode, so the shutter speed is selected for me. Do you think this is not the best technique? If I shoot in manual, I usually struggle determining what is a smart shutter speed...

I just picked up the camera today and was playing around with it. I feel as if I am doing something wrong, because I am not getting the clarity or focus I would like. All of these shots seem a bit off, no? Any suggestions on technique?
Thanks!

I was using my new lens today, but I am really confused. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but every photo I take has that yellow tint or film on it? I had to use PS to get a normal color balanced shot. Is there a setting on this lens or camera I am using incorrectly? Seems to be only with the 50mm, and not the kit lens.
Here is the set I shot. Anything marked PS is one I edited. Dae Triple Tat - a set on Flickr
Thanks!

Would getting one of the limited prime lenses be a bit redundant? I have been reading about the 70mm limited and it seems super sexy!

So, my friend wants to buy my k-x. I am thinking it might be a good time to grab a k-5 as it doesn't seem like the k30 is a huge upgrade.
Question though, does it make sense to wait a month? Do we anticipate the k-5 to drop even further in price?
Thanks
