I just tried FA * 85 when I purchase FA 43.

It is so impressive.

The build quility is creditably great(heavy).

The photo is perfect at F1.4.

I try to photo a newspaper about 10 meter away from me and I can see the smooth edge on each of words!

It is great but expensive. At least to me...

Here is some example I photoed.

A50:

My Cat:

Unknown tree in our neibourhood

My Wall-E

Then, Here is 43mm limited.

My lazy cat.

Cherry 3000 Blue~

Unknow plant beside my office windows.

All of them was shot at f2.8 and I didn't PS them.

It seemed that A50 is comparible to 43mm limited with 1/10 price.

:)

Of course, manual focus.

Wow,

Thanks for the MTF diagram.

Where did you get Them?

I just want to know more. Other lens even other brand.

I know that MTF doesn't mean everything but it's always a good reference.

With my further trial, I was confirmed that FA43 is not so sharp at 1.9, 2.0, 2.2.
2.5 is acceptable and 2.8 will be OK.

With the apeture get smaller, the quality increase significantly.

I will test some landscape on weekend.

Thanks all.

After all, I chose FA 43mm just because DA 35mm was selt off.

I still haven't a good chance to do some test. Maybe, tomorrow.

With simple test, It is not so sharp at 1.9 even 2.2. Even not as good as my previous lens A50 F1.7.

Anyway, the build is excellent.

Thanks you, both.

Your suggestion is useful, really.

I'm try to use the kit lens to estimate the difference between 43 and 35.

How about the sharpness and color?

I can image 43 will be better but i'm not sure how much.

:)

Hi All,

I was swapping between FA 43 and DA 35 Macro.

I can get them in similar price. 43 at 500 USD and 35 at 450 USD.

I know they have different usage but the problem is that I don't have a lot of money to purchase a lot of lens recently.

Which one will be better? Landscape is needed.

Best regards,
Paolo

Yes. You are right.

The flog is really impressive.
This is the first time I found that flog can be such a "nice" thing.

Maybe, that's the meaning of photograph.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion.

FA50 1.4 raise its price one time within this year. It let me feel that it doesn't worth its current price.

I was also considering changing a zoom lens rather than a premise len.

Just too much choice but too little money I have...

God blessing me. :)

Hi All,

Thanks for your information.

The pictures are great and impressive.

You know, I don't have su budget to buy a lot of lens recently. So, I need a performance/price choice.

I currently have a DA18-55mm, the kit len.

Hi all,

I just join the Pentax home with KM(DSLR) and start to burn my money with lens. :)

I have a plan to buy a new premise lens and I lost my mind in so much choice.

The main purpose is portrait but sometimes will also uses to snapshot a scenery.

Currently, my eyes was captured by FA lmited serial such as 31, 43, 77 due to their appearence. Sliver is so cool and "extraordinary".

However, someone declair that 43mm limited is just so so. It doesn't match its fame and price.

I was lost~

Any suggestion is helpful.

:)
