Currently, I won't sell separately.
If this set can't sell together in one month, which I hope not, I will consider about it.

I can only sell K-m with my two kit lenses. They need to go together asap. I am happy to accept reasonable offers.

For the one considers to buy my da40 with the km, here is some more information of my da40: I bought it two years ago from B&H. The original pouch, package.. are all there. It's in mint condition. There is dent on the cap though. I dropped its super tiny cap in the first month I bought the lens. After that I used a plastic cap instead to protect the original one. I will give you my plastic cap, too.

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
K-m/K2000 with DAL 18-55, DAL 50-200 and accessories

Asking Price
310

Item Location
Florida (United States)

Item Description
including:
pentax km/k2000 camera body
DAL 18-55mm, DAL 50-200mm kit lenses
lens caps, camera body cap
one lens hood, one uv filter
original Pentax Remote Control F

All these together are 310 dollars. I just bought a Canon 60D, so I decided to let all my older Pentax gears go.

The camera body is in excellent condition. The shutter count is 8.4k. I am the original owner of the camera body and the 18-55mm lens. I bought them in the early 2009, not in US, so I don't have the box or the manual right now. This is my first DSLR. I take good care of it. I bought 50-200mm second hand like new. I didn't use it much. It's still in excellent condition.

I also have a DA40. If you buy my km, I can give it to you for only 300. I bought it new from B&H two years ago. I have to sell my km before let my DA40 go though.

If you are interested, please pm me. I am happy to answer any questions or give you more photos. Thank you.

Do I need to upgrade?

I agree with you. Sometimes I shoot around 1/50 with DA40, ISO 800 and inside the house. A fast moving baby could be blurred easily. Unfortunately km doesn't perform well under higher ISO. Also, I couldn't always put more light in the room.
Other times, however, I can feel the auto focus is slow, my km is confused about where to focus and then the right moment of shooting is gone.
A better camera body is really needed.

My km has a shutter count of 7k. Without any packages, I think the km and the two DAL lenses can only sell around 300. I am looking for deals of other brands. But before I can afford a much better lens than DA40. I'll keep the km with my DA40 for a while or maybe, forever. You can't even tell it's DSLR when the km goes with DA40. :D

Thanks.

Your advice is very helpful and persuasive.
I love DA40 and this is one of the reasons I hold on to pentax. Another reason is I can't find many decent lenses in other brands within my budget.

"light years ahead of that t3i and 50". I also doubt how the t3i with 50mm will perform.

"all you will be shooting is your baby" Well, I used to shoot everything before my baby was born. :D

Thanks.

Several friends also recommend da 50-135mm. This lens is decent and will be very useful to take photos of baby.

I am considering of shifting to other brands because I don't have many lenses now and need to upgrade the body.

What I have is a km/k2000 with kit lens and DA40.

I love my DA40, but now as my baby gets 7 months old. I find it harder and harder to focus. The auto focus of km is crappy! I always have a 45w bulb, equal to 130w, in the room at least. But the focusing is too slow.

All I need is to get fairly clear photos of my baby in the room. My question is, is it necessary to upgrade to other entry level SLR cameras like canon t3i with 50mm lens? My budget is 1k to buy new gears.

Any suggestion would be appreciated!

How much does a K2000 worth now?

I have my k2000/km with 18-55 and 50-200 kit lens. Their packages are missing. How much do you think they worth?
Also have a DA40, I bought it two years ago and like it very much. It's in very good condition and with the original package.

I just had a baby and find it so hard to focus using my K2000. Sometimes this drives me mad.
Therefore I plan to buy a Canon instead. My Canon s95 always focuses well.

Can you suggest a way to let go my gears?
I am new in this forum and ebay. Thank you!

Thank you all! I appreciate every reply.

I bought my DA40 less than a year and like it very much, but if I knew I would have a baby so early I would have got FA 50/1.4 instead. I had always been longing for a better compact camera, so I will get one with HD first. (Great now I have a reason!) Currently I like canon S95, simply because it's small size and have a HD, but I'll wait till its price is more reasonable.

As most of you have suggested, my km+DA40 may work fine after the baby is born at first. From now on, I will also keep an eye on a flash, which I always want because I like shoot food.

Thanks!

Alice

Hi,

Currently I have the km/k2000 with lens 18-55mm, 50-200mm and DA40mm.

What would you recommend if I would like to shoot my baby? I may buy something new in the next 6 month, before the baby is born. My budget is below 500, so I won't buy lens like DA50-135mm and it's too heavy for me.

I am also thinking about buying a new small dc because my old one is over four years old. I need a decent video function but Km/k2000 doesn't have one. What about canon s95?

Thank you a lot!

Alice

Just got a dal 50-200, I feel excited since it's my first time to buy a used lens,
and now I have two kit lenses and da40.
I like light lens and want to buy da21 and da70 to collect all the pancakes but the prices are too high! If the prices don't go down I think I will use these three lenses for quite a long time. :p And buy great small dc instead.

And there seems no deal on pentax lens during holidays.

Thanks.
I think I'll buy one soon around thanksgiving. Who knows it will continue rising or come down a bit at holidays.
I'd prefer a new one for my first prime....:D Though may fifty bucks more for a DA40.

I wanna buy my first prime lately, currently I only have km (I guess it is called k2000 here) with the dal 18-55, which I have used for 8 months.

I have only been at America for 3 months, so unfamiliar with shopping here. With limited budget and usually I like to take photos both indoors and outdoors, I decide to buy DA 40mm. It will be quite light to go with my km.

In fact, it seems like it is not a good time to buy primes. Now I wonder if the price will comes down a little bit on holidays or I should wait longer since price has been increasing all the year or buy it now? I am kinda anxious to have my first prime .:o
