Was about to get a Canon 500D. But while browsing the net, came to find out about the K-X. After numerous nites reading about this camera reviews. Finally, took the jump to get it,
Only came with the Kit lens- 18-55mm though. Was thinking abt the white colour but figured I was too old to stray from the traditional black. ha.ha

I was not very technical in this. When I got my K-X a few weeks back. I tried using the Sanyo eneloops that came with it. It was set to "Auto". It showed the low battery state very quickly.
But was fine after switching to "NiMh" . Have used it for a couple of days and no issue.
Looks like it could be a batch problem issue with the K-X
