Ok here is the scoop. I rented the DA 60-250 this week for local airshow. I thought I would give it a try. My usual lens that I use is the Sigma 60-200 2.8 and I have never had this issue. The 60-250 is dramatically overexposing some of the images. I tried everything to try and get it to stop. Shooting in manual, Av, Tv, using the exposure compensation to dial it down and changing the metering. Nothing worked. Now it was not doing this on every shot but I can't narrow it down yet as to exactly when it was doing it. Anyone else have similar issues before?

Hi all.
I need a little help on photoshop. I shot the lunar eclipse "blood moon" last night. I would like to create a composite image like the one featured in the forum regarding shooting the eclipse. Can someone give me a hand please.

My original cord that connects my camera to my computer is no longer functioning. Does anyone know which model # this is or where I can get one that will work with it? Thanks.

Sorry about that. I am currrently shooting with the SMC Pentax-FA 100-300mm F4.7-5.8. How about a third party lense? I have had some decent shots with this lense but am ready to upgrade.

I am currently shooting with a 100-300 and I find myself wishing that I had more lense because a lot of the good shots are not at show center where they are close.

Just received my K-x in the mail today, very excited. Started taking pictures and messing around and within a hour it was telling me the batteries were depleted. Sigh....So I got on here to read about the battery fixes and found out that there was a firmware update. So I installed it and BAM no more problems. Now I am a very very happy new K-x owner.

Yes it will be coming with the kit lense 18-55, just looking at getting something with a little more reach.

I will fly anything I can but mostly 172's right now. I just obtained my commercial license about a month ago. Now I just need to find some more money to get some more hours. Unfortunately there is nowhere near me to tow, gliders or banners. Hoping to run into something eventually by working at Centennial airport here in Denver.

I really appreciate all of your advice. It is nice to have a place like this where someone new is not made to feel stupid. I'm sure I will have many many more questions and I don't feel afraid to ask them here. I just wanted to say thanks.
As for the airplane pictures I fly myself and also work at a airport. So needless to say I will never run out of subjects to shoot.

I also do some flying and am around airplanes a lot, are there any specifics for that? I guess is what you are saying is enjoy what I have now and then try some new things later. Thanks for your replys I cannot wait to get the camera.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first DSLR the Pentax K-x. I am wondering what kind of lenses would best suit my needs. I live near the Rocky mountains and will be doing most of my shooting there. What lenses would best suit mountain photography?

I am expecting the arrival of my first DSLR the Pentax K-x on Dec 3rd. I am very excited and have been researching for around a year and when this came out it seemed to fit everything I wanted and my budget. Super excited to start shooting and Thursday can't come fast enough.
