Not actually having yet got my hands on my K-x I probably should not comment
BUT
I will :)
Having had 2 bad elbow injuries I'm left with a tremor at times and also can't cope with anything heavy.
I was allowed to try an *istD with some lenses [ it probably being the nearest thing in size to the K-x ] and found this
No problem with the 18-55 mm kit lens - the 55-200 - I was conscious of the extra weight and the bigger lens [ 55-300 ] was a definite no-no
One of the reasons I bought the K-x was because I knew I needed some form of image stabilisation.

Nope - not a new gadget freak .
I had got frustrated with the Kodak - couldn't get what I wanted . Switched to my husband's Fuji S5000zoom which was much better - till it's optical sensor decided to join it's master and pass away . So that had to be replaced and cutting a long story short , my mentor [ a Nikon and Olympus man :o ] thought that the best DSLR for me was the Pentax K-x
And so it came to pass - I'm now a Pentax owner just before I fly to the USA :) for a short holiday

I'm the technoidiot - a pretty good description of me it has to be said .
I've just bought my K-x - still to start using it - kinda preoccupied at the moment .
I've used a Kodak C703 point and shoot for the last few years so this is a HUGE step forward for me
