When I unloaded my Pentax gear to switch brands I never sold my Fisheye. What adapter would I need to make this work and are there any limitations with the functionality of the glass? My camera only takes EF lenses so I want to make sure its compatible.
I have a 7d too that I guess I could use.

Hi-Key is referenced in 2 different ways.
One is lack of shadows, my suggestion. The other is what hks suggested and that is blown out features.

Probably want to use at least 3 lights. 2 on the BG and one on the subject. If the blowout from the background is on the subject, then the subject is getting spill light on them and need to be further away from the background.

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Tamron 28-75 2.8 Macro Asking Price
275 USD Item Location
PA (United States) Item Description
I purchased this lens here on the forums about 2-3 years ago for probably 325 dollars. I grabbed it because I wanted the ability to shoot inexpensively from 28mm-200mm @ f2.8. This lens served that exact purpose. The condition was never mint, and there were a few rub marks on the barrel etc.. But the optics were always good.
I've owned all the FA ltd's and so called best Pentax glass. While this lens was never at that level, it was never too far behind. It isn't the fastest focusing lens in its class BUT, I've always gotten great results with it and it was on my K5 90% of the time. In daylight it was just as fast at focusing as anything else....
I went through LBA and bought everything thinking it was what I would use. In the end...without the ability to be at f/2.8 through my complete collection was a handicap for shooting indoor sports, dance etc...
This lens gives you the ability to do that for 275 bucks. I just bought the 24-70 Canon version for almost 2000. So this is a steal.
I do not have a box, it was never provided to me with my purchase so its just the lens, hood and caps.
I will only accept PP. We can discuss the fees if you are interested. I have 100% feedback and have been selling/buying/posting here for years. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

I have two Pentax lenses left. This is one of them. I purchased this new from Adorama for 475 about 9 months ago. Comes with the box, hood, caps and pouch. Everything you would get with a new lens but 100 bucks less. Check out the reviews and lens club for this lens. It has a cult following. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/lens-clubs/84539-sigma-10-20mm-club.html
Condition is very good and the elements are clean.
I will only accept PP. Fees are negotiable.

PM's answered. Surprisingly still available. On a side note, I've owned all 3 of the FA ltd's, the fast 50's, 10-20's.....This was hands down my go to lens and the easiest to get great results with.
My other listings are sold. I only have the Sig 10-20 and Tammy 28-75 f/2.8 left.

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Metz 58 AF-1 Mecablitz Asking Price
200.00 Item Location
Scranton PA (United States) Item Description
I've only used this flash a few times before I jumped ship to Canon. Full P-TTL capability. One of the better flashes you can purchase for a Pentax body. I've owned both Pentax flashes (540 and 360) and there is no comparison between the 2 companies. Full tilt and swivel (something Pentax doesn't offer) and the ability to stop down to 1/128th vs 1/64 on the Pentax brand.
Comes with the box, pouch, paperwork, etc....everything you would get with a new purchase.
I have 100% feedback and have been a member of this site for years. Buy with confidence.
I will not negotiate on the price. A brand new AF 58 or 540 is 400 bucks.

I switched over to Canon a few months back.....never got around to unloading my gear.
My workhorse...the 70-200 2.8. If there is one lens every photographer must own, its a 70-200. I'd rate the condition a 9/10 only because its used. There has always been a hoya filter on it so the elements are perfect.

I replied.....but I'm looking for a US buyer. I have no idea what the cost would be to ship to Canada but I know I won't be able to insure the lens. If you're willing to pay extra for shipping I'd consider. Still waiting for a "local" transaction

My issues are that my results aren't consistent. Like I said.....I have A LOT invested with Pentax. Thousands. I want to make this work before jumping ship. If I had to spend 2000 more for a body that can nail this every time, why not? Over the course of 2-3 years that would be a few bucks a month. Hardly worth fighting poor a AF system over. The 5diii has the same 61 point system with 41 cross points. My K5 has 11. Who are we kidding? I'm not saying I don't get GREAT shots with my camera. I do. But they are not consistent. And if I'm trying to get candid poses with burst shots, the center point/recompose technique isn't going to work.
ADWB...I do appreciate the link, its what I asked for when I started the thread. I will give it a shot.
But, I need to be able to use Af select for composition of portraits. So, what's the best way to tell the camera to work in a specific area so I can continually work that area without recomposing every shot? That in itself is worth an upgrade.

If the dot means nothing...what should I be using to focus? If I'm at 3.2 and everything is on an equal plane I'd expect at least the head to be in focus especially if I'm placing the dot on the head. I'm referring to my OP.
The question now becomes...."How do I tell the camera to focus on that spot" ? On my neighbors 1DX...of which I have zero experience using, I can nail a microscopic flower-head out of a garden every time. The camera is spot on. With the k5 sometimes I get it....sometimes I can't hit the side of a barn.

When I have the dial set to "sel"....I am selecting the point. That's my point of the post. I'm selecting the point and the camera never gets it right. If Im shooting in a burst mode for candids with a senior, and I want a particular composition, I'd never be able to use AF center. I want to keep my camera in the same spot for multiple exposures. You can't do that with AF center, even for something as simple as the rule of thirds.

I'm going to predict you'll be shooting closer to 6400 if you want to keep a shutter speed of 1/800. In a lighted gymnasium, to remain at 1/250th I'm already in that ballpark.
For sports....other than WB, why do you need RAW?

Since my metering is also all over the place, I'm wondering if there is some correlation. What would be some tests to run to check the AF points?
