And I'm very lucky to have super supportive wife too :)
We made a pact, I'm not gonna ask how many pair of shoes she has and in return she just have to ignore my lenses and DSLR bodies :D

One on each body on 4 different systems (Pentax, Canon, Nikon and Nex) and probably 300 more in air tight boxes. Mind you I've sold over 60 lenses last year. I really need to trim down my collection, it's easier said than done :(

The fine print under the image covers their a** :)
Typical bait and switch given the fact that they already got a complaint from a customer.

Go back to the OP question, I would never pay it more than the price of the DA21.

I didn't happen before doesn't equate to "It won't happen".
Nonetheless, I guess I'm more cautious and I don't trust in my luck...

And following your train of thought, one should not take any pictures, that way there is no risk of loosing anything.
I think you get my initial point already which is maximizing the use of space while mitigating the risks of loosing your precious memories.

I'll tell you what, I've tried more than 60 different 50-55mm f1.4 lenses and my conclusion to date is that they as as good and it's practically impossible to an human eye to distinguish which is which just by looking at the image output.
Personally I don't see what is wrong with the Chinon 55/1.4 which I think it's a great lens like all other nifty fifties.
The major challenge when testing the vintage lenses is that one must make sure the lens optics are in good condition and well calibrated which is not always the case with those lenses.

You will never get one year warranty with refurbs unless you buy extra warranty. The typical warranty for refurbs is 90 days.
Then again, most sellers on PF have 3-7 days return policy, more than what it's needed to test the camera. Of course, none of these is better than what is provided by the refurbs. I'm just saying buying on PF is fairly safe and you will get a better camera for the same invested amount.

This thread is probably the worst place to debate whether old lenses are inferior to newer lenses given all the great images produced by the Takumars and shown here :)
