Yeah, I never bothered to fix it because I don't use SR. It is possible to turn it back on with a little care and a screwdriver, though.

I am selling off what's left of my pentax gear. Everything is in excellent condition, with the exception of the shake reduction lever on the K10D. The camera wasn't dropped or bumped, but the lever just fell off in my hand while using the camera. The camera is in otherwise perfect condition, with about 13,000 shutter actuations.
All items are in the original box with all accessories included. The K10d has 1 extra battery. Buyer pays actual shipping cost.
K10D - Sold
FA 50 f/1.4 - $210 **Sold**
DA 50-200 f/4-5.6 - $125 <-- reduced again!
Sears 135 f/2.8 - gone to ebay
Promaster 5200 flash with module px - $25 **Sold**
(This flash will work with *ist bodies in ttl mode)

Your 5 star wish is granted. My wish is to find out how you get the impressionist look without computer manipulation. :D

I've always hated the gimp rotate tool because of this. Thanks for the tip!

I like to shoot sports. Leaving my non-viewfinder eye open allows me to protect myself from a stray ball, out of control athlete, etc. I also switch from my right eye to my left eye depending on where the action is.
It also helps to be able to see if the action is not where you expected it to be, allowing for a quick re-position, possibly saving a missed shot.

I would also recommend Thomas Distributing. I did not know they carried np-400/d-li50's though. I have used their powerex batteries and maha chargers for a few years now, and they are excellent.

Virtualbox is another option similar to vmware. It runs well on linux, don't know about mac though. The good news is that it is free(open source).
In my experience, virtualization software needs 2gb ram to run well. More if you are going to run memory intensive applications inside the virtual machine.

I don't know much about lightroom, but lightzone is a raw converter/image editing program. The new beta seems a little unstable so far, but not bad for a first beta.

I have never been able to find this list. All links have gone to a dead end. Can you point me to it?
EDIT: Never mind, I found it on the first try this time.

Apparently they have linux listed on the signup page as a teaser. If you pick it, you still only get windows and mac as choices for download.
They had a free version for linux for a while, but it disappeared a few months ago. I uninstalled it from my computer when it looked like they were abandoning linux and switched to bibble. I will definitely switch back when they come out with a new version(the $150-$250 price tag is going to hurt though.)

I just received the same ball head from amvona. I found the same thing regarding price. The ones on ebay were actually going for quite a bit more than the amvona.com price(shop victoriously!)
As far as quality, it seems good. Even if it doesn't last I'm not out much money.

There have been rumours lateley about Lightcrafts coming out with a linux version of lightzone. I emailed them yesterday, and got this reply: We will be making an official announcement soon. The cat's out of the proverbial bag.
Sincerely,
The Light Crafts Support Team
I am very excited. :)

I don't have my k10d with me right now, but there is an option to set iso to step as ev steps(1/2 or 1/3 stop). It is in the custom setting menu.
Edit: oops, Lowell is a faster typer than me!

I ordered one yesterday, and selected in store pickup. They have a guarantee that the item will be ready for pickup in 24 minutes, or you get a $24 gift card. They didn't have any in stock when I got there, so I got the gift card. I just have to wait a day or two for the card to come in.
