Unfortunately we had limited time to enjoy the park, so we never made it to the gorge. Maybe another day... :)

I'm glad you slept in! Beautiful sunrise!

The picture really has a unique "feel" to it. I've never tried in-camera processing - just wondering if you do that to simplify post-processing, or is the in-camera processing difficult to reproduce in PP?

I'm not real familiar with birds, and I was going to do a quick Google search, but thought maybe I should ask this community (and increase the number of posts) :)

Ahhh... such a nice place. Spent many hours there with the family over the years. Thanks for sharing the pictures - brings back memories (which is what pictures are for IMHO)

A must-see place if you're in County Wicklow. The drive to and from will not disappoint... as long as you don't mind twisty (really twisty!), narrow (really narrow!) roads. :)

The view from this bridge is as stunning as the bridge itself. I won't bother posting my pictures of the bridge as there are so many that are far superior, but the view from the bridge... captivating place.

There are so many beautiful cathedrals in this region, and I wasn't expecting much here, but it was truly beautiful. The tour was well worth it, and the view from the rooftop is stunning.

Welcome! And congratulations on your new KP. You’re really gonna love the camera. I’ve been taking hundreds of photos during the past two weeks on vacation, and I’ve only discarded about 10, the rest are all nearly perfect SOOC (or with minimal LR edits).

I’m also starting to get a sense of the low light strengths of this camera. All I can say is WOW! I’ve read all about it and looked at the online images, but when it’s experienced first-hand it’s so much more impressive than I anticipated. I also have to say that the ergonomics are quickly becoming very, very familiar - one of the attributes that I’ve always appreciated from this brand.

For me, this is a flagship [emoji106] [emoji4]

Coming from many years with the K-5, and always struggling to obtain focused photos, I find that this camera is a focusing beast! Maybe all the practice that I got with the K-5 (working on every technique possible to reduce camera blur, etc.) has helped somewhat, but I can't believe how well this fine camera focuses. Makes me believe that Pentax must surely be equal to (or better than) other revered brands. The KP build quality is also outstanding - feels just as well-built and solid as my beloved K-5. I'm really looking forward to getting to know the KP!

(I'm also pleased that I snapped this up during the Amazon Lightning Deal) :)
