Wow! - Excellent lens with clean glass
- Original hood
- Tripod adapter
- Original owner
- P/KA adapter
I assumed the price of $150 was a typo but see it twice in the listing so somebody is going to get a great deal!

Had to look at this one a couple times . . .
Beyond catching the decisive moment, the framing adds drama.
Also, there's just enough color to clarify without distraction.

Clever and very well executed.
Overall brilliant composition, especially placement of shadows and highlights.
Bert Stern would likely be amused -- and impressed!

Frame within frame within frame.
I particularly like that the yellow painted area is a bit irregular and there is just enough detail in the white around it to add yet another frame. Kind of like an infinity frame.
Oh, and the cat is an excellent model. ;o)

I had one of these and recall it fondly as a solid, reliable lens. The tripod mount is particularly well designed, nice and tight to the lens and rotates easily.

In addition to being dazzling, I can even hear it!
And the cropping makes it seem cinematic.

Well seen and executed!
I'd suggest that toning down umbrella would make it even more effective as the eye is drawn to the brightest element of an image.

This is a fascinating, almost surreal image that, IMO, would work better in a very large print.
Seeing it on a small screen does not do justice to the scale of it.
Without the title, I would not have been able to make sense of the domes.
I also wonder if it the top ~15% and bottom ~10% were cropped that it would have more impact. And a bit more contrast may make the overall message clearer.
Regardless, well seen and executed!

What a moment!
First, good on D. Joyner for being in the right place at the right time and prepared to make this image. And on a trail in the cold no less!
So interesting that the deer was caught just as she is about to take a step forward but stopped when she when she saw the people. And the woman seems to be putting her hand back to stop the man. Excellent timing!
The white background of snow also allows all of the characters in the story to pop out of the image. A bit more contrast might provide stronger impact.
Nominated!

Very much a 'being there' feeling to this -- cold, the feel and sound of the wind as the snow whips through the air.
Painterly look, the lack of color and chiaroscuro beautifully bring focus to the sole human in the image.
Extra appreciation to candid for squaring the composition and for being out and making images in that kind of weather!
Nominated -- of course!

Instantly intriguing. Why is she looking at him like that? Why is he smiling and looking away? And the little chap is in his own world.
Technically excellent as well. Squared off, fine detail and just enough contrast to make it snap. Especially the chiaroscuro created the doorway.

Such a good feeling to this pic!
The triangular composition brings our focus to their focus; the kneeling woman AND that brings us into the energy of the image.
I would suggest it could benefit from toning down the background and increasing the contrast on the women. That could increase the clarity and impact.

So well seen and captured!
The mirroring/echoing -- two women, their hair color similar to the tones in the painting . . .
And I like the fact that it appears to be unposed.

A decisive moment drama!
Silhouette was definitely the best choice for this; detail made it just another interesting nature pic.

Extraordinary graphic of the brilliant work of a spider.
Also, the 'Constellation' title cleverly emphasizes the micro/macro aspect of the image.

I missed the detailed instructions for this assignment but if the intent of it was to best *express* 2020, IMO, this one tells a story.
The rest seem to be 'this is the best pic I made in 2020'.

Joe, This is wonderful! Thank you for making an image that shows a hummingbird 'at work' so clearly. You captured a proverbial decisive moment!
We occasionally see them in our area but because they are at a distance and moving so fast, we can only marvel at their speed and agility. This allows us to appreciate the beauty of this bird.
