About the wired remote control.

Many thanks Ianu, Tako and Not a number. The maplin code looks great Ianu.

Needing a new wired remote was pretty much the only negative I could foresee for the K70, as well as the official remote seemingly not in stock anywhere in the UK. So the information on this adapter and on the rest of this thread is extremely useful for me and hopefully for others too.

Quick question from a potential K70 buyer :

When using the 2.5mm 3 pole to 3.5mm 4 pole male adapter does the half press focus work as well as the full press to fire?

I'm also in the UK ianu, is this the item I'd require?

K3 II Battery Life and GPS

I am looking for some feedback on people's battery life with the k3ii. Ideally with gps on, but without it would also be useful. The manual suggests 720 shots per battery, but I assume this is with GPS turned off.

I am hoping to upgrade to the k3ii before my next trip which will include a 10 day hike with no charging opportunites.

I am currently using a k30 with the o-gps. I get about a day and a half gps tagging using an eneloop aaa battery in the o-gps and around 600 shots with the dli90 battery or around 1000 with 4 aa eneloops.

Obviously I will need a fair number of batteries for the k3ii for this trip, but your feedback will enable me to make a judgement on how many I'd need. (most likely 3rd party DSTE as I am in the UK)

The other option is the grip so I could use my aa batteries, but I've read there have been some problems with using aa eneloops in the grip using the original k3 (only getting a handful of shots with aa eneloops, but much better with lithium aa)

Another possibility is using a powerbank and a usb charger, just trying to find the thread and forum member that does this.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

David.

Just a little note - it triggers my Pentax 330 flash in its manual modes (mh and ml) using the same 603 trigger, so I suspect it is a compatibility issue with the newer Pentax 360 flash

Hi,

I have purchased some 603 triggers and am having exactly the same problem with my Pentax 360 flash only being triggered in auto mode and not manual mode!!

Does anyone know a solution/ workaround?

I'd be hugely grateful for any help.
