Compatibility with all my 'K' mount lenses is a huge plus. More options on video than my K-5. That said, the lack of RAW bust mode is a pity. As a backup camera, it's nice at the current price. As my main camera, I dont think so.. f I were trying to shave a few bucks, I would go for the K-30.

The 105mm Sigma Macro was less than $300 used versus the outrageously priced
FA* 100mm macro.
Not buying another new Pentax lens until the prices come down out of the stratosphere...
pre UPP prices are still high IMHO

Another local (well okay.. in Gilbert, which is like 20-30mins away from the McCormick train park)
K-5 with too many lenses to mention (I'm a member of the LBAA)
Should be able to make it out for a few hours this Friday.

Here's a composite shot I did with the K-5 and the smc PENTAX-DA 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED. Several images were bracketed at varying exposures, then combined in Photoshop. This was taken in the desert near north Scottsdale Arizona.

Several other attempts. A mix of shots from the K-x with a Rokinon 500mm mirror lens (manual focus) and the 55-300 on the K-5.

Thanks! EXIF info came up incorrect for some reason. I was using my FA31mm f/1.8 on this shot. Rest of my earlier pics with my 55-300 were not really that great.

Caught the moon rising out over the N. Scottsdale Desert. Took multiple bracketed exposures (tripod mounted with remote) then layered in Photoshop to produce the final image.
