I like that this pic. is a duel word play on the word reflection. Eg. Reflection of person and reflection on the past.

Nice Shots. They look like cloud chamber particle trails.
BTW. You can use Photo Editing to remove the glare associated with the firework's smoke being lit by the fireworks. (See 1st and next to last images).

Photoshop Elements is a good option as it comes with Adobe's raw conversion.
I would purchase a machine with 8gb+ of memory and an I5+ processor as image processing products are memory & processor intensive.

I have found that if you print to canvas then I can choose sizes that are not available with photo paper.
I would photo-edit the sky before printing as the sky's brightness distracts from the water.

I am confused, in what way should I use the Green mode to fix this issue?
Thanks

I have a K-X and it suddenly refuses to switch to Auto Focus mode. I noticed the issue after I changed batteries. I switched back to the old batteries, by no AF.
I search this forum and tried the suggested solutions.
What I tried: - Mounting a different lens. (Also will not AF)
- Resetting the camera
- Cleaning the contacts on the camera and the lens.
- Wiggling the lens to see if the contacts are out of align.
- Threatening to purchase a Nikon!:)
The AF pin does stick out when the camera is in AF mode. All the other functions, metering, etc., appear to work without issue.
Any ideas? I do not mind manual focusing, but it is hard without the old style split ring.

I have a K-X and I know that older Pentax lenses will mount to the body. However, will the K-X's auto-focus system work with older lenses? If there is an age limit, what is the general date where the K-X's will no longer auto-focus the lens?
Thank You.

I would also consider Corel PaintShop. It is easy to use and powerful.
You can download trials of Photoshop elements & Paintshop pro. Try them and see what works for you.

Hi,
For $100, have you considered using a fixed LED bank of lights and a small softbox? The only issue is that they are rechargeable and you might run out of juice before the end of the event.
Regarding the wedding, are the majority of your pics in poses or at the reception? If the former, you do have time to shoot many exposures needed with a manual flash. If the latter, you will be walking around and talking pics so you will not have the time to set a manual flash. ---------- Post added 03-28-14 at 10:51 PM ---------- Another idea.
You could use your $$$ to rent a better camera, a low light lens, and a flash for the event. I live in TX., and I can rent a OK camera, with 50mm f1.4 lens and flash, for about $120.

I am using a Pentax KX, and I wanted to know how I can tell if it safe to use an older flash with my camera's hot-shoe. I know that there is a voltage issue with older flashes, but without the specs how can one tell?
The two flashes are about 15 years old and I know that there was used on a film camera. The units are a Vivitar 125 and a Sunpack Auto 411. The both function and are being used as remote flashes.

If you can not get it right with ICE, you might try Hugin (Hugin - Panorama photo stitcher). It is free, has many options, but is not as easy to use an other Pan. programs

Anyone know if Pentax is planning a consumer version of K-3, ex. like the Nikon 3200 or 5200 is a consumer version of the 24MP Nikon 7100.
Thanks

The WSJ (below) also ran a story about falling DSLR sales. The SLR biggest issue is its bulk vs, a phone. I think most people are shooting for fun and the moment, not for sales or to exhibit.
I would think that the mirror-less SLRs would be a good option for the smartphone set. High-End Cameras Fall Prey to Smartphones - WSJ.com |

I agree that you should spend your $$$ on an external flash.
Also, I have covered my on camera flash with either tissue paper or thin fabric and it does help, but it is not an optimal solution. Be careful not to put too much pressure on the flash or it make crack.
