so im trying to do some self photography and just after some tips on how to improve. obviously these are heavily photoshopped
i have to take a self portrait for part of my uni work and am wondering how i could improve or what areas to improve in or anything feedback at all. be as harsh as you want i really dont mind.
im not the most comfortable taking photos of myself haha i dont know why, just not a fan of being in the photo i prefer to shoot them
also these aren't my final pieces/work but more or less ideas/development
thanks in advance

my 2 cents although you probably know this but. if you have those files open you will need to close the files/program first then you can delete it

the distance scale (the series of numbers near the mount of the lens) is the problem i think it might have a bad connection

yea everything is fine with the other lens no problem at all i think i might of turned something with my other lens im looking through the manual now
i think i turned something last night when taking off the lens. near the mount of the lens there is a series of numbers that i think i turned and its not turning very smoothly (not sure if it should never turned it before) kinda sounds a bit starchy if i try to turn

okay so this morning i go to get my camera out and for some reason when i try to change the dial to a different setting noting happens on the LCD screen is just says Aperture priority... etc etc.. i can go into the Menu and all the other stuff just the Dial isn't working?
also the little screen up the top isn't its usual self. is has the shutter speed (which is normal) then it has the aperture which is stuffing up.. it says F- - , the ISO is fine and the battery life is normal just something must of happened? i baby it so its not like it gets thrown around. i used it last night working perfectly fine and this morning this :(
any ideas? iv been searching on google but i cant find anything similar
just to ass also when i change the dial the only two settings that come up are manual exposure and Bulb exposure ? but again in the top screen the F - - still looks like that

found some Corella's in our backyard feasting on the apples, well, the seeds anyhow. there were a few in the tree but they were much too deep for me to get a good shot of. but this little guy wasn't shy :)
enjoy!
this one is a little hard to make out because of the shadows but his picking the apple off the tree [/IMG] |

While i was waiting for some birds i saw this little guy, dont think he is a bee nor a wasp not sure what is he, haha.
I really like how i can see my own camera lens in the reflection om the bees (we'll call him a bee) back
Question; i have the sigma 70-300mm lens with the 200-300 macro, would I be able to get shots like these with say, a, 100mm macro lens for example? or would i have to get really up to the object? |

yea i did pp the bike to some extent, i made the dark areas darker and highlighted the highlighted areas (if that makes sense lol) i also desaturated the background
but that is pretty much the same colour as the leaves just a bit more duller
that bird flew up right behind me, it wasn't scared at all i was probably about 1 meter away from it, crazy stuff.
thanks for the comments :D
