Thanks, but I am. I have two lens 50mm with A setting works fine. The new (to me) 28mm with A setting isn't working.
I am in contact with the seller and may do a return.
Just tried the forum in case there was anything I missed

Thanks, yes it has A ring and this is selected. Just not working on this lens.
I think there maybe a fault on this lens as my other similar 50mm is OK

I just brought a second hand SIgma 28mm PKA lens.
When I mount it on my camera (I've tried 3 different bodies) it shows F--, indicating that the A- auto exposure setting is not working.
I've wiped the lens contacts and no difference.
Before I try and send this lens back, does anybody have any suggestions to solve this

The incredible rocky headland at Lands End in far west of Cornwall in the area called Penwith looking north, taken at dusk on a winters evening. The long exposure and the rough seas created an interesting pattern on the sea. The last rays from the sun throw warm light on the cliffs.

Love my K5 - read most of the manual, forgot lots and have to go back several times.
Most important thing I missed for a while was that anti-shake only works when you are on single frame shooting or it doesn't work with remote release on which was different to K10D

Thanks - it was lens distortion correction I had ON.
I've turned it off and the preview forms as quick as I expected.
So now I know - I can play with this option and see what difference it makes.
