Is this crop what you had in mind and does it enhance the effect?

Thanks for the input.

Calling all Pentax wise folks: Frugal but not cheap photography

Being new to the digital aspect of the hobby I have found the lens rating posts here very helpful. It is also true that these forums tend to get me focused on all the goodies I don't have. But if you can tame your lba there is a wealth of information here.
My approach was to be patient, research and buy used. Many in this hobby have to have the latest and greatest and this means their used stuff is not even broken in let alone broken down! Perhaps I have been lucky but I have purchased my camera body and 3 lenses for less than half the street price. The camera body(K200D) was less than 7 months old (1000 clicks and came with a transferable 5 year warranty). All were in mint condition take great photos and are not the limiting factor in the quality of my photos(I am!). I am not sure if I qualify as frugal because I am sure it is possible to get the required gear much more cheaply if you are willing to go to garage sales, craigs list and the like. I got everything off of the web.

which backpack?

I have been looking for a backpack that will handle my k200d with 55-300
attached and room for the 18-55 kit lens and batteries etc. I am looking at an M-Rock and a Kata DR467 and the Lowepro microtrekker 200.
Has anyone had experience with any of these?

I checked the "sticky" camera bag reviews but did not see any of these in the post.

Your experience based opinions will be helpful.

Thanks

The learning curve continues! Could you enlighten me about how to know the difference between class 4, 6 etc sd cards?
What besides upload speed and capacity is affected?

Thanks for the input!

I am new to digital photography, and also to pentax. I was very enthusiastic amateur30 years ago with a Canon AE-1. I have fooled around a bit with a Sony Mavica 300cd I found in a closet and a discarded HP-R707 from one of my daughters. These took photos of reasonable quality but I really missed the viewfinder.

I recently purchased a used K200d and am awaiting delivery. I am planning to concentrate on landscapes and wildlife since I live in a rural country setting.
I will have an 18-55 kit lens to start with but will carefully add as the budget allows.
I appreciate this forum's lens reviews, it will be very helpful to a novice like me.

For me the weather sealing, build quality and old lens capability were the criteria that helped me choose the k200d. I also had good experiences with old pentax glass in 35mm.
I am eager to fill an sd card!
