Monolights

I am having trouble with triggering monolight strobes with my K7 via the PC socket.

The problem is that I can trigger the monolight one time, but successive attempts do not fire the flash unless I:

1. Turn off / on the monolight.

2. Disconnect / re-connect the PC cord from the camera x-sync socket.

I bought two monolights, both are set properly whilst behaving this way.

This is obviously very strange / annoying..

Anyone ever have a similar problem. I personally was thinking of picking up a Wein hot shoe adapter that has it's own PC socket thinking that it has something to do with the K7's socket.

Anyone have any experience with Interfit Flex Mounts & using them on the Pentax AF360FGZ..

I figure one of the mounts should work with my Pentax flash ...

Thanks

I bought a nikon SG-3IR to screen the on-board flash, and it's back to normal.

I'm not sure I understand the above... "screen the on-board flash".. and it's back to normal ?

PTTL and the K7

Just purchased the K7 after trading in my K20D, and have noticed that the results of shooting PTTL wirelessly differ from those of the K20D.

I can't seem to get the proper exposure when shooting wirelessly with the K7.. Beautiful results if the flash is attached to the camera, but as soon as I change over to wireless, NG..

Set ISO to auto (100-800), Program, flash set to wireless slave, camera set to act as controller flash only in wireless, K7 and AF360-FGZ set to same channel, slave mode 1. Pictures have blown out highlights..

If I change the ISO to 100, I get better results. I don't recall having this issue with the K20D however..

Wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience...

Will there be a noticable difference between using the PF-CA35 K-Mount adapter as opposed to using a T-mount by itself...?

I am thinking of buying the Pentax "PF-CA35 K-Mount" which is an eye piece for Pentax spotting scopes to allow for photograhing through the scope...

Pentax PF-CA35 K-Mount SLR Camera Adapter 70510 FREE S&H 70510. Pentax Spotting Scope Accessories.

It appears to be a standard telescope eye piece with a K mount on one end, and since I have a Meade ATX-90, was wondering if anyone ever tried to use this eye piece on a Meade or other brand telescope, and what the results were...
