I have noticed a significant price increase over the past 6-8 months. A Canon shooter friend of mine was complaining about this as he said the Canon prices have shot up as well. Does anyone know what going on with that? We just got the 16-50 and love it more than a new puppy.

We bought a k20d for a weekend trip to Chicago with our kids(we have 5 children) this past summer. Might have been one of our best purchases in a long time. It came with the kit lens and we had fun with that. However, we have been slowly buying more as money permits. Now have a 50mm and just got the 16-50 last week. WOW. This lens is amazing. Saving up for the 50-135, but diapers need to come first. Cant say enough about Pentax. My better half got me into this and now I have almost given up on my hobby of hand painted pinstriping. Glad to be here.
