I have some experience with dogs/training (we have 2 right now, have had more in the past). I will say this, make sure the owner understands the situation, I once knew a veterinarian who owned a pit bull, thought it was of the "nice" variety for years, had a child and the dog attacked the child unprovoked. I'm not saying they're innately aggressive dogs, but even the GOOD ones you really have to watch. I would not try and socialize the dog as even skittish dogs have a hard time learning to be social with other dogs, much less an aggressive fight-trained dog (which it sounds like). Best of luck with the recovery, sounds like you have a good dog.

My two favorites in b/w (lightroom), the passenger side quarter view I couldn't get the light right to not black out the door but not look unnatural, any suggestions? Also, on the drivers side front fender you can see a box, it's actually the original radio, very cool piece.

Thanks for your comments everyone!

K2000 firmware update?/ K7 M lens compatibility

After checking this out, it appears it is not working as I had thought. In Av, I can stop down physically on the lens, but there appears to be no effect as on the same scene I end up with the same exposure time, whereas on manual exp. time goes up when stopped down. Does the camera being in Av mode actually physically block the aperture lever on the lens? This is the only explanation I can think of.

Very nice! I like it, sounds weird but I love cars with rust/dents/etc., gives them character. It's not a hudson (as I was told), but I can't seem to identify it, similar to an old chevy sedan, but they have a split window and a different roof line, the back of this car is almost british looking. Anyways that's the car guy in me talking.

K2000 firmware update?/ K7 M lens compatibility

I'm enjoying the k2000 I have very much so far, but have one question. My manual (and what I've read on here) says that my M 50mm f2.0 I should have to go to manual and press the exposure compensation to set the shutter speed (due to lack of aperture info), and that was how it worked until connected to the computer to read an sdhc card (only had an sd reader at the time). Now, whenever I hook up the manual lens, the metering works fine on any aperture setting in aperture priority mode after inputting the focal length. Suppose this isn't a problem per se, but wanted to know if this was the case for all new pentax dslr's (particularly the k7) or is unique to the K2000 as I have a friend with a collection of old M lenses that he would like to be able to use this simply.

Couldn't get a shot of the front then because (although it doesn't look it), it's a mud pit out there. I hope to go back when it dries out (raining now) and the light is a bit better. Thanks for the comments!

I believe this car is a hudson but I'm not sure. Shot with the kit lens, a little bit of PP in lightroom, mostly just light levels. Feel free to critique/comment!

Just got my first dslr (k2000/kit lens) and I'm learning as I go, right now just taking pictures of friends/family/pets and such. I'm located in Lynchburg VA and I'm looking forward to learning more!
