I bought a MBX500HS light about 6 weeks ago and they're really solidly built. I've been very impressed with it overall so far and signed up for a second light from the kickstarter campaign.

The Contax 80/2, or Hassy 110/2 aren't that big :)
I use my 645Z frequently for lower light shooting, 2.8 @ 1/160 and ISO 6400 ish. The files are great to work with at high ISO, but as people have said the 2.8 glass and the need to keep the shutter speed higher doesn't really make it ideal, but it works for double duty. You can get away with lower handheld shutter speeds if you use mirror lock up, but obviously that doesn't work well unless it's a static shot.

I've shot a lot with fast manual focus glass (58mm 1.2, 50mm 0.95, 200mm f2) and I can't help but think that the image quality of the Otus is hindered by the MF setup. Supreme quality @ 1.4 is all well and good, but missing critical focus makes it moot. Especially on DSLR's with non-removable focus screens optimized for focusing at 2.8

I haven't used the K3, but I'm pretty familiar with the current gen sony sensors. I don't feel there's a major step up in DR, certainly not enough to justify that sort of upgrade unless there are other factors.
You also should take a hard look at your most commonly used focal lengths and see what prices and size would come replicating your kit for 645, along with the performance/reputation of those lenses.

Do you want to print larger than 20x30" and are you unhappy with the DR of your K-3's?
I love my 645Z, but it's a significant cost to jump into the system and it's significantly larger to pack around. Not to mention your selection of modern lenses will drop dramatically.

I wonder if the new selection of lenses will be backwards compatible with the film 645's, or if we'll have a repeat of the FA vs DA / DX vs FX development.

If you let me know the overall length of that setup I'll let you know. The one weakness of pretty much all Domke bags is carrying mounted long lenses.

I normally keep 2-3 film cameras with different lenses on in my bag, an extra MX or ME Super hardley adds any weight.

I bring zooms on Family trips to avoid switching lenses and wasting time. 10-24, 17-55, 50-135 and one 35mm 1.8. And one film camera with a prime lens.

Test shots from my new 67. Shutter only works above 1/125s and the metered prism doesn't seem to want to work, but man is it cool! |

Would have to be FF to get my attention. Hard to use legacy lenses with a 2x crop factor as seen in m4/3.

I've been looking for one of those too, and $300 to $350 is what I've been able to gather looking everywhere. There are a few on ebay for $450+ that never sell too.
