I just received my new k-x yesterday.
This is one RED mother . . . redder'n all getout.
This thing is Antarctica helicopter red.

I just bought a red one (although I was coveting the orange).
Hell, you can get ANY camera in black, it kinda makes the Pentax unique.
I like the fact that they went there.
Just my way of "stickin' it to the Man" . . . don't taze me dude.

I just now (10min ago) bought the k-x w/18-55 lens kit.
What would a relative rookie/snapshooter add to the 18-55 for general purpose versatility?
I'm coming from an old and beloved Nikon Coolpix 990 that is, sadly, deteriorating.
I trip around a bit travelling, but also would like some macro-ability for jewelry, flora and insects.
Any other suggestions would be cool too.
Outside the body and the lens, I also will receive the following:
USB Cable I-USB7
Strap O-ST53
Eyecup FQ
Hot Shoe Cover FK
Body Mount Cover
Software (CD-Rom) S-SW99
4 AA Lithium batteries
