I think the Sigma 150-600 contemporary is also a steal around the same price as the Nikon. Sadly, not available on Pentax.

that's expensive.. The HD DA70 is available in India with 2 year warranty for the equivalent of 490 AUD.

I've uploaded a quick shot from my 8-16, on the K-01. Kept on my window sill, shot in AV, f/9.5, ISO 100.
At 100%, it's not very sharp, at least I don't think so. SR was off, and I used a 2 second timer as well, to eliminate all shake.
What do you guys think?
First shot @ 8mm, the next one at 16mm.

it is 54000 yen on Amazon JP. That is about 440 USD. Pentax mount is available. They had a 10 percent off promo in June when I bought mine.

I went to Japan for a business trip, so I just had it shipped to our subsidiary office in Tokyo. Picked it up from there personally.
