This is the latest addition to our family. He is a little toy poodle. We named him Rocket. I used a single Alienbees strobe shot through a 16" umbrella for illumination.

Thanks for looking,

Smeggypants for such a mental giant you seem to have a little trouble keeping on track, or is it just a defensive mechanism to derail all discussions onto a smaller track that you feel more confident on.
You have already played your "North Americans are prudes card" to death, rambled on trying to convince yourself that this issue is about people having hang ups about nudity, deluding yourself that you could liken this to candid street photography, and then taking a most predictable turn sliding sadly into a classic paranoid / government / the world is flawed beyond repair fetal position. Hell I never even had a chance to play with you before you stumbled and dropped a Smeggy in your pants.

I believe the facts speak for themselves:

Segregated women only beach
A physical wall or barrier
Using a 500mm lens to keep out of sight
Posting his captures on the web
Displaying a complete lack of respect towards the women and suggesting that they are possibly a laugh or a joke.

Had Zubrowka simply posted the photos I would not have become involved in the thread. It was the level of disrespect shown that I felt had to be called into question.

Napawino I do not feel that age is a factor. I would feel the same regardless of age. It is about respecting individuals and their right to privacy. Just because someone chooses to bath topless on a beach doesn't mean that they should lose or sign their right to privacy away. They have chosen to bath topless in a designated area, amongst like minded individuals, at a given time and day, for a determined period of time. They have the control to make personal adjustment at anytime. These photo take that personal control away and exploit them for self serving needs. I would also go as far as to say that the posters pretense of the women being "old with no man fly around" is degrading and disrespectful to the women. I would feel badly if any of the women in the photos every saw this thread.

Zubrowka all I get from you is what you want, your rights, your freedom, with no rules. With freedom comes responsibility. You did what you wanted without any regard, concern, or thought of others. You are a taker and a "me first" person. It is a shame that you are not a giver and put the well being of others before your own wants and desires. We are not born with empathy it is something that we learn and acquire with age and experience. I hope that you may view this thread and read the words from some of your peers and try to understand another view point. You are better than this.

I won't go on any more on this issue as everyone is entitled their own views. I have made mine. I value freedom, but I also know the costs to gain it and the responsibility demanded to keep it.

Play nice PentaxForums.

I am a North American and I do not have any issue with nude sunbathing. What I do have to question here is why you would feel it is ok to photograph them and distribute their photos on the internet. I think you have violated these women's privacy and rights. Just because they are comfortable to bath topless on a beach does not mean that they subscribe or wish their photos were distributed publicly.

This just gives photographers a bad rap. Surely you could put the Sigma Bigma to much better use.

2 thumbs up for the women for being beautiful and confident - 2 thumbs down for one photographer thinking that this is funny or respectful.

It has been a while since I posted on this site, been busy at the PentaxWorld site, although I do look in regularly and enjoy seeing all the great images here and following the threads.

This is a shot I took for a friend. I used an Alienbees strobe & a reflector for lighting.

Thanks for looking. Best to everyone this holiday seasons,
