Thanks for the welcome. Even though I was born in England both of my parents and their families are Welsh through and through, so I don't stand a chance really! Love the picture of the cat. Had to get rid of mine when I moved here and I still miss her.

Only joined here yesterday and bought my first Pentax camera last Thursday. Although I have been taking photos for most of my life I am an amateur as it has mostly been just point and shoot photos and not thinking about the composition of the picture. 99% of the photos I have taken are landscapes and not ones of people. Having moved to Wales 9 months ago from England I have recently joined a photo group (as a way to meet people and also to learn more about photography). So, I have taken the plunge and bought myself a Pentax Z110D with a zoom lens. Now I just have to learn what everything does - watch this space, as they say.

I have never tried to post photos on a website before so I am totally lost as to the instructions that have been given. I do not know what embeded means, etc, etc.:o
The only thing I can say is that my photos are stored in the My Pictures section of My Documents and they are jpeg, also I use Jasc Paint Shop Pro.
Can anyone give a simple explanation please
