Thank you for all the kind comments! And yes, it was a lot of fun. I'm a freshman at UNC, born and raised in Los Angeles, so I was definitely not used to snow. My little ole Californian hands couldn't last very long in the cold so I had to keep running inside to warm them. :D

A very fun project to film.
A snowy weekend in North Carolina featuring Supertramp's 'Fool's Overture' and Simon and Garfunkel's 'A Hazy Shade of Winter'.
We don't get much snow, so when we do, it's party time!
Locked the ISO and shutter speed using mr. johnnybodybags workaround. Let the kit lens work on auto.
At the end I've got a couple second timelapse that I had to do manually. Used countdown timer to wake me up every 2 minutes. :p

Couldn't figure how to embed the vimeo. Link below.

P.S. My Pentax lens cap makes a cameo! :D

Setting Shutter Speed for Video (A How To Guide)

works fine

adjusting AV +/- settings seems to affect shutter speed only. unless you the shutter speed limit, then up goes ISO

AND

in video mode after locking the exposure, you can use 'optical preview' to preview your adjusted aperture to maintain correct exposure

i think

Perhaps there's an issue with AE-L being overridden in video mode. I can't find anything to actually confirm the ISO of a recorded video.

Completely indoors, minimal lighting, my friend shot this with the Pentax-M 50mm f/1.4 at its fastest. Color was slightly corrected. Auto ISO

If you're willing to pay, I would suggest you host your own. It's more "professional."
I would imagine those willing to pay will be more willing from a "professional." Like this -> http://www.vivianthornton.com

Is that video taken with the Kx? How do you know it was recorded at those particular settings? I can't seem to figure out how to set mine to record at ISO 100.
