I have recently got into astrophotography using a new telescope that I received for Christmas. My K-x has been great but I have two very large problems in this new field of photography. The first problem is I can shoot a thousand photos in an evening to get enough good images to stack. It would be awesome to have those images fly off into my house while I am doing this to get me to bed faster after I have finished. The Eye-fi card would solve this! The second problem is that if I fill my card and have to come inside to the computer to download and continue shooting my night vision gets completely shot! Again a wonderful Eye-fi card would solve this problem!
You know......I think I have more problems that this card could solve also....... Might have to buy one if I don't win it.

Hello to all,
I have a simple(not really) question.
I am looking at buying a used k200d, Pentax 18-250mm lens, and a pentax flash.
What should I do to check them out and make sure they are in good working order?
How do you check the body out and the lens and the flash?
Any opinions would be greately appriciated!
Thanks,
Chopath

Thanks to everyone that has replied. I really appriciate all of the help. It is starting to look like I just need to save and pick-up a good dedicated flash(after I get the FA-50 1.4.
MrApollinax, thanks for the information and the link. That will help a lot.
Thanks,

Ira,
I had no idea an external flash could do that. Good to know not to stick any random flash I picked up at tha estate sale on my K-x. Could you elaborate on what you mean about frying the camera?
Thanks

What flash would you buy? That is about all I have for a flash right now and wanted everyones opinion.
Please tell me what you picked(or would pick) to shoot on your camera. I am open to new or used. Any opinions are welcome and if you spent less and have a great flash please speak up because I would like to save any change for a FA 50 1.4!
Thanks in advance!

I was updating the firmware on my kx lastnight and it stayed on the phase 1/2 screen for about ten minutes.....I thought that it was hung up and decided to turn it off and restart the process again............really bad idea..........
Now it will not do ANYTHING when you turn the power on. No nice blue power light......NOTHING.
I have tried holding random buttons and turning it on....plugging it into the usb....everything short of spinning around and clicking my heals 3 times.
Talked to pentax and they say to send it in.
Can anyone else help? Have you had this happen and were able to recover? Did you have to sent it in and they charged you? What did you do?
Thanks,
Micki
