Love the photos.. Fields of yellow canola beside blue flax beside green wheat make the summer so bright.. I didnt think anyone still grew rape seed. It smells so bad... GMO canola for everyone around here!

Also were you are in the world matters... Pentax in Canada is cheaper than most of the world I have noticed. Some places pay way more for items like downunder. Do you remember what you bought them for? That is a fair place to start as if you paid that amount someone else likely will too... accounting for changes in market, condition of lens, etc...

Well I got my first SLR when I got my father's K1000, lucky for my boy I am more of a gear head so well I was 28 years old when I got my first SLR, he is 18 months and burning film in a 645... he loves the plunger to remote fire the camera... it goes 'boom!'
Dad the deer are that way, not back here...
Aim roughly where the deer will be
Ready for them to tread the needle and walk into the frame...

Tried that... tried poking at the autofocus thinger(screw), it felt normal.... what gets me is the auto focus seems to be engaged well the switch is clearly set to MF... so i guess there is nothing left but to throw the camera at a wall and ask the Misses if I can have another...

My KX will only AF. (unless the lens has quick shift), however, the switch is stuck (will not move with reasonable to slightly more that reasonable force) at MF. Any ideas? I have wanted an excuse for a K5... so do I have a paper weight that will not MF only AF?

Like the title says... doesn't have to look good, but I prefer that it works and has caps. I will take either or both the 45-85 and 80-160.
Don't want to have to pay for anything too expensive to cross the boarder... but if you have something you just gotta move and you are willing to help with shipping I will buy world wide...

nice to see you still around... and still with the K20... just goes to show you don't need a new full-frame pentax to shot lovely subjects...

once I bought radio flash triggers I learned to LOVE my strobe... but nothing beats a nice small camera package for walk arounds which often do not include a flash

I only went with the 31mm so I could use it with my film cameras... which to me was worth 4xish as much... PS I do enough the 31mm but if I was only a digital shooter I would have gone with a pancake because it fits nicely in a coat pocket with a KX.

I have only had a few attempts shooting from my buddies plane... but I find the older lens are great... I am shooting at f/8 ish and infinity, thus the older M & A series are great... rubbber lens hood helps, as mentioned... and the older lens are often very sharp accross the center of the frame... I used a 75-150 with great success... I prefered it over my 50-135 which I found too large for a small space...

What you using for lighing on these portraits? I am really digging the 1/4 lighting triangle in the top of the eyes and the strong shadows...

Last Sat my boy was napping and looking darn cute for a nap... I went into his room... I was Ninja quite... I got my 4x5 all set-up... focused... light meter set... load my film... I needed to adjust my shutter speed on my old cop shutter two notches... should have been nothing... click click... not even a click... like a pin dropping and bouncing twice... sure enough like a bolt of lightning... he awake... straight up... and huge smile... happy to see me... moving around like the daring he is... but my ISO 25 film and 6 sec shutter suddening seemed useless... so personally I don't know about worrying about waking her up with a flash... at least you'd have the photo... :)
