I'm really shocked by the positive responses, I thought I'd get torn to shreds :)

Picture three is (are) illuminated Chihuly glass sculture reflecting off the black glass floor.

The pink/white spires are about five feet tall.. I shot from knee-height. You can see some places where the light is interrupted by a power-cord running to an inverter/amplifier. :)

BJ's is awesome; Good to know I can find one if I head south!

I'm open to helpful tips. I plan to go back and try again, now that I have a slightly better understanding of the mechanics, and a clearer idea of what I want to accomplish.

(I want sharp, sharp, sharp.)

I'm a bit intimidated to share these here, but I figure you've gotta start somewhere, and it seems like a good first step :)

My first SLR.. Pics are using 18-55 kit lens.

Disclaimer....... Most of these are almost certainly technically abysmal. If you've got a helpful pointer, please share.. :) EXIF will reveal high ISO on the illumated glass shots, .. that was my error, I hadn't adjusted the camera properly.

Helen was extremely gracious in handling the issue. :) As a bonus, nobody was strung up or shot!

Thank you, Helen!

The strap, registration card, and batteries are absent as well.
I guess I had more in mind 'opened it up to check it out' condition, instead of 'plundered it' condition.

Got my K-x today..

It arrived with this nasty, fungal looking thing from the mid-seventies stuck on the front of it =-\

The site describes Demo condition as 'Like new, Little or No signs of use.'

Because of the crud/fungus/whatever that was on the cap being inside the body.. I don't think the item shows little or no signs of use.

Am I out of line on this one, or do you guys agree? I didn't expect brand new, but it certainly exhibits signs of use.

Thanks,
Blake
