Thank you Gentlemen
I had noticed both those names earlier.
and I guess I was fishing for them with my post .
I believe Mr. Chalker did the comparison between
the Sigma 500 and the Pentax 560.

From what I have read , it does not affect the image. But going back to what C.A.M posted who knows if it has stopped and where do those little bits go.
I considered the lens but didn't want to risk it . The cost would still be to much .

Good Day Gentlemen, The asking price of $1000 Can. I do fell is high C.A.M. and was going to make an offer . But like you mentioned I have not seen to many articles of this flaw
on modern glass. I do not know if he is the original owner because if he was it should have been returned , I would think. Pentax would not want serious flaws in its new glass
out on the market .
I also believe ( from what i have read online ) that it is not a fungus but a manufacturing flaw of the coating to the inner surfaces of the lens, so it should not spread to other lens.
I thought it might make for an interesting subject on the forum . Thank you all

This lens has been on sale for a bit. Probably no buyers because of the " Schneideritis " . On line I can only see comments on older lens not modern , especially a Pentax HD 15-30.
So I ask the question, Would you buy this Lens ?

Good Day all. Wingincamera, I use the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 APO DG for shooting sports and a few other things. My daughters play outdoor &
indoor soccer and basketball. (If you go to mkymic.weebly.com you can see some of the shots). I quite like the 70-200 and I also had the 50-135.
But before I bought the K1 I sold it. It is a great lens, sharp with beautiful colours. But 135 is not a lot of reach. Even 200 seems to short when your
on the sidelines. My 70-200 is sharp wide open and with the 1.4 teleconverter stays sharp. I now have the Sigma 100-300, It too is sharp.
I don't make money from shooting sports, so the zoom suits me fine ( the wife would have a fit if I bought a second body so I could go with primes )
And yes 2.8 is invaluable when those clouds roll over ! or in a big school gym !! Also at 2.8 you can isolate the allstar player with out of focus background. Having said all that I got the Sigma's because of cost , I would love to have the Pentax versions

I think 8 matches the challenge topic the most. Well done all.

Sorry WildMark , I thought you had meant there were two versions of this lens. Mia Copa
I would like to find the M42 version . I did find a M42 Super Multi Coat Tak 135 f3.5.
Bruce Banner - Nice review . I think I was at 2.8 for this shot and a 1.5m away. I might have to play with lens some more.
GUB I might go looking for a 28mm
Thanks for the input Guys

Read somewhere recently about 135"s so I dug out what I had . Takumar 2.5 135mm
it didn't to bad a job. Shot was handheld with a breeze.
Didn't see the lady bug till I got to the computer.

I am guessing at the f stop since the sun was ducking in and out of clouds most of the time.

The fall is a sad and happy time . Weather turns cooler, shorter

I think clackers has it, filler nothing but filler.
After working at a couple of events that draws alot
of photographers out, it is more interesting watching
these photographers compete for position.
It is a Full Contact sport !!
