yea i have a sony P&S but im not trying to get pictures of the bands more just "candid/street style photos" ... & i like really like shooting with film thats why i was contemplating the disposable cameras

I will be attending coachella this year and unfortunately we are not allowed to bring SLR to the festival ( sorry spotmatic and KX ) so i decided that i would shoot the whole weekend with disposable cameras. (fun right?) i wanted to know: 1. Does anyone have experience shooting a music festival with a disposable camera? 2. Are there any wholesalers who happen to have expired disposable cameras the would like to sale? 3.what would be the best brand of disposable cameras ( the highest film quality) ?

Hello! Im taking a few classes that require me to shoot 35mm film both b&w and color. i wanted to know is there a film wholesale dealer in the los angeles area? because 5-7per roll x 20-25 rolls per class is getting pretty expensive for my college student budget.

I recently loaded my Spotmatic F with kodak 400 film and now no matter the conditions my light meter stays in the middle. it was working properly the last time i used it and now i dont know whats wrong. is my meter broken? & the battery is only 6 months old

Thank you so much for the responses the only reason I'm "craving" creativity is because I will be transferring to an art school in a yr and alot of my photos have been really nice but I don't feel it's what they want in my portfolio. So I was thinking maybe art books or challenges to get something flowing because now every shot for me is a possibility for my portfolio to get into the school. I will try all these ideas.

Hello I've been shooting for about a year now & in starting to feel a little uninspired. I plan on transferring to an art school next fall to get a degree in photography, so I need help to jump start my creativity. so if anyone else has felt this way - what do you usually do about it? projects , photographer's work , books anything that helps you to get inspired again.

hello i have a pentax k-x which is my main camera but my photography major requires me to learn how to shoot film & develop film ( which im glad to learn) but we had to purchase a 35mm slr film camera with manual exposure capability and a working meter. The teacher told us to just try to find one at samys but i went to a flea market and found a pentax spotmatic f camera. i need to know is this what the teacher was asking for because this camera and its specs are not in the camera section of this forum. i would also like to know where i can find a guide or something to learn how to work this film camera. thank you in advance

hi im on a study abroad trip in greece for three weeks and yesterday my sigma 28mm 1.7/1.8 lens stopped working with my pentax k-x . i didnt drop the lens or anything and i really need to know what to do because thats my prime lens for this trip.
the problem: camera wont read the lens .. when i put the lens on the f-stop just flashes and it doesnt detect that a lens in on the camera. so if i do need to get it fixed are there any pentax users from greece or that have been to greece who know where i could get it fixed .. im in delphi for sunday july 17th and nafplion from the 18th - 28th

hello i am still pretty new to photography and i wanted to know what flash( and any needed extras) should i invest in purchasing because in my photography class we cant use flash so im getting use to not using it but so many friends want night shots, me to shoot club/ music events , and other types of low light events. i have a k-x , so since i need to buy a flash anyways what should i buy so that i dont have to keep buying flashes and different things later on in my photography life?

hey , im doing a study abroad this summer in greece and i want to get a new lens to take out there and shoot with. what lens would you recommend i invest in buying that will work best with landscape and city shooting and also capturing the greek architecture and beaches , i currently have the 18-55 kit lens and the DA 55-300 lens as well but i still want another lol ... price range no more then $600 please

question where on the k-x can you see what focal length you are in without having to look at the lens because i see picture post where it says
lens: 18-55 @57mm how is that so if the lens only goes to 55mm
i am am only about a month in with this k-x (my first dslr ever) im just trying to understand lens and what it takes to take a clear picture & stuff

ok so i have the k-x body lens which is a DA L 18-55mm F3.5-F5.6
now the f-stop gets bigger then 5.6 but wont go lower then 4.0 how do i get to F3.5?

so i recently bought my wonderful k-x about three weeks ago and i was looking at the reviews in the forums and i saw that the iso have been expanded
ISO range (expanded) 200 - 6400 (100 - 12800)
my question is to get the new iso range do you have to have a newer model of the k-x or its a update type thing?
because i will mighty upset if i just bought this camera and they are making newer models of the same camera have different features.

so im taking a photography class and every other student in my class is either a nikon or canon user :( .... so when going through certain steps im kinda left out in class and the most resent thing was the dept of field preview. where is this located on the pentax k-x?

hey i called just about every cam shop in the la area and none of them carry the dual lens kit samys & frys both only sell the cam with the 18mm lens best bet would be order ir from bhphotovideo.com and have it shipped over night to wear your staying

question my friends skateboard and i bmx and i just wanted to know what would be a great lens to capture action shots with? like if i wanted to capture every part of a trick i would need a lens with a fast enough shutter speed.... and the price isn't a big issue to me

Thanks for the feedback I see the black kits everywhere cheaper but I don't want the black cam I like to stick out a tad. i see now that the color cameras dont come with dual kits so i will have to purchase the other items separately.
