CameraKings.com is an affiliate retailer of DPReview.com. I thought they would be at least half decent but I looked into them last week and would not buy anything from them.

These people sell the grip for other cameras but not for the Pentax.

Is the Bower SFD926P flash any good?

I may end up with the 530ST. Right now it's $145 including shipping and the Bower is $119 with shipping. I just received a $25 Amazon gift card so now my decision is a little easier.

You may be right. I'll do some more research. Hopefully Santa will drop some cash down the chimney.

Thanks, I'll look into the 952AF too. My second choice is the Sigma EF530DG ST. Don't really want to spend $150 though.

I can't any info on this flash. I am looking for an inexpensive flash for my K100D Super and this fits the bill. I was looking into Pentax flashes but can't afford them. I would be using mostly to bounce of a ceiling or wall and would probably be no more than 20 feet from my subject.

Canon A630 with the CHDK hack. The K100D Super replaced my Sony H2 which I'm trying to sell. My wife uses a Canon SD600. I think we may replace the SD600 with something similar in size but with face detection now that we have 2 kids to focus on.

I had an F10 when they were first released. I never should have sold that one.

has there been a more exciting Super Bowl game?

I guess it was exciting but I've never felt so let down in my life. My Patriots winter jacket and all my Patriots Superbowl shirts are now officialy retired until September. :(

Kudos to the NYG defensive line. Brady's ass was on the ground more than mine was on the couch.

I wish I had Tivoed it so I could actualy watch it without worrying about the outcome.

Just realized that this check is an advance on the 2008 tax year refund. Looks like I am just going to bank it since it isn't extra money. :(

At times the Pentax will be cheaper due to rebates. I don't recall seeing rebates on any Samsung DSLRs.

It was a semi circular dark area centered at the bottom of the photo. Must have been the hood. I don't think I've seen a dust bunny that big.

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't see it since I didn't pay much attention to that interactive graphic (too complicated for me).

Lens claening function? Isn't that suposed to be the sensor cleaning function? I think that just locks the mirror up so you can manually claen the sensor. I think your camera is fine just make sure to disable that function or turn it off.

  1. You need a K200D

  2. You need a K20D

  3. You don't have enough money

  4. You don't want a camera that doesn't use AA batteries
