Very interested in lens, however won't be able to purchase for a week or so (so if its still available then, I'll buy).
How is the optics? Everything clear? anything damaged (even in the slightest)?

I believe every brand has some acronym for an addiction to purchasing lenses. For Nikons it is called NAS (Nikon Acquisition Syndrome). :)

I've used GGS on all my cameras. It is similar to the ACMAXX.

These were shot in RAW. I imported them into Aperture 3 and that is where I saw them. Thanks for the replies and suggestions.

I was messing around with my camera tonight and took lots of long exposure shots (was playing around with an LED in front of it) and noticed that in many of the shots I have blue, red, and green dots in the EXACT same spot in multiple pictures. Camera was tripod mounted. Exposures were anywhere from 15-30 seconds each. I have never seen this before on any of my other cameras. What is it and how do I prevent it?
Attached is a picture of it. Hopefully you can see it even tho the picture quality has been downgraded with the upload. It's much brighter on the original.

Thanks for the welcome.
My first time ever owning a lens this wide. First thing I noticed with this particular lens is that the minimum focusing distance is tiny too!! I can literally almost touch the object I am shooting!

Just received my Pentax 14mm F2.8 from a fellow board member! I was a bit worried about the size before I received it because of all the posts here saying how large it was, however having just received it, this lens is TINY! Having been with Nikon for some time, when we say big lens they are usually pretty damn big! This lens is tiny compared to so many Nikon/Canon lenses! I am loving Pentax because all these lenses/camera bodies are tiny.
Just wanted to let those who may be thinking about getting this lens that the size should not be an issue at all (especially if you're coming from Canon/Nikon camp). If anything its just the dang lens hood which is huge.

I purchased my FA 77mm from them and it was sent out the next day. I received it in about 7 days (from Canada to California)

Thats not true. I have purchased a grey market DSLR in the past from them (2 years ago maybe?). I knew in advance and had no problem with it. I suppose they might not be now and I am not saying that they only sell these type of items.
Do a quick search on google and you will see that there are complaints of not being told items are grey market in the past.

I have purchased from them in the past. They really try to hardsell you into buying extra crap for your camera (or anything of that matter). i.e. Buy a warranty? no? how bout a lens filter? no? how bout ?
I'm up in the air about purchasing from them in the future.
My guess is a lot of their stuff is also grey imports (if that even matters with Pentax)

I purchased an EX+ lens from Adorama in the past and was not happy with the condition either. The mount had a slight bend and was tight to twist on, the bottom of the barrel also had deep scuffs/marks. Glass was fine tho.
I suppose I am just real picky with condition.

Have you actually ever even owned a D300/D300s/7D.? My guess is no by your comment. I had owned an A700 and switched to a D300 in the past. I knew image IQ was nearly identical (After all they are the same sensor), however after owning an A700 and then picking up a D300, you could clearly tell the D300 had so much more to offer. I didn't even have a problem with my A700 either! One of the reasons I chose Pentax recently over Sony was due to the lack of video in Sony DSLRs.
When will all this brand talk stop. Use the camera thats right for you and be done with it.

The reason I ask is because I purchased off of Amazon and they did not advertise the rebate, but why would they not if it were not in their best interest? I have attached a picture of my UPC code which looks like a sticker over the original UPC code. I am curious if my UPC code will be acceptable or if this was something Amazon put over the previous one themselves.
So I suppose my real question is, does/or did your UPC code look like mine?
