We are fortunate to have a pair of roadrunners that frequent our backyard to feed on some tasty side splotched lizards.
I have not logged in years but I remember Rupert from dpreview when I first got into Pentax in 2004.
The coyote was not in our backyard but roadrunners and coyotes belong together.

Try opening the lx3 raw files with ufraw (free) it limited but produces good resolution and gives you the entire sensor --I'm guessing 22mm equivalent (about the same as the sigma 10-20 set at 15mm.)

Tennessee has become more Republican every year and I did not link Palin to Gore I was just using her as an example. (that much was obvious) I lived in Tennessee for 25 years and went to school at ETSU from 93-97 and I know that Tennesseans are more racist than Arizonans. I love the state and have a house in Pegram that I'm moving back to once the housing market recovers. Its not because people in Az are better, they just don't have years of entrenched segregation like people in Tennessee do. My fraternity in the early 90's let all ethnicities in and this was shocking as all other fraternities were all white or all black and several had standing rules about this. People in AZ are from all over the country and are racist for different reasons- they are not motivated by their perception of protecting their "way of life". I agree with you about the crazies on the left being guilty of fear mongering and in some cases even racism. The far left makes me even more angry than the far right. They often end up on the fringe and sometimes are even forced (or nudged) out when they receive to much press. See that antisemitic bastion of the green party Cynthia Mckinny.

For aud 350 you are only giving up a better coating I believe. Get the Tamron with the same optical formula as the Pentax. Also the sigma 18-125 used to be a kit lens in Australia so I'm guessing you could find it cheap and its sharper than the kit lens with a good range.

And Gore lost in Tennessee because the people there still tend to be racist, homophobic, uninformed folk who flocked to the Republican party for the wrong reasons. Not the sensible ideas of small government, individual liberties, and states rights but the base negativity of exclusion, gay hating, racism, and fear. They are the kind of people who feel that McCain was to socially liberal but loved Palin. The whole Acorn thing was a real issue that was over covered by fox news, just like the NY times spent to much covering the jamming of phone banks on the other side.

This is a nice bag for airline travel as it fits under the seat domestic or overhead even on smaller international planes - I've had it stowed on a cebu pacific puddle jumper- and it will carry a body with grip, 3 lenses, flash, and a change of cloths if you dont have a laptop.

They did not really explain in the test why it was the worst optically and also stated that they tested all lenses on a 12mp body. So - either they used an adapter or were sloppy in their discription of the test. (The Pentax crop looked better than several of the others) I actually picked up that mag for the first time a couple days ago and was not impressed. They stated that the Fuji f200fd had better IQ and detail than the lx3 and had a big Fuji f200fd add on the back cover. I do have the sigma 10-20 and love it but from what I have seen the Pentax is much more consistent corner to corner.

This works with ttl flash and has a big viewfinder - two plusses over k110d.

Sounds like an "Im glad I shoot Pentax" moment. I've had my k10d splashed with salt water with no ill effects - has not happened to my k20d but its supposed to be better protected.

If you can deal with the slower operation this camera has pixel level iq that rivals the k20d. I like the files that come from this camera better than the k10d, especially in jpeg.

Very plastic and slow operation and does not fire the shutter unless an auto focus lens is attached. Still better than nothing and the camera did not have much to do with IQ in the film days.

zx-60, plastic and will not work with any manual lenses, I still keep it because its the only k-mount film camera I have after my ks super dies. I did buy a battery grip for 7 dollars at ritz though, at least it does not feel as cheap now.

A couple of years ago I sent a 15-30 with a major decentering defect back to keh and they promptly put it on eBay. I posted on the forum to let people know. Every once in a while I see stuff on the marketplace mislabeled or drastically overpriced - which could fool a newbie. Or a seller who has sold you a bad item and is selling the same item after you returned it. What do y'all think the response should be for this? Ignore it, email the seller, or post a response in the thread?

Looks like it has a more pronounced prism for a largwer view finder. I wonder why this would be needed for a smaller sensor.

Was "stuck" in Hawaii on the way to Manila. After choosing which pics to post I realized that many were taken with the Lx3 I hope that my fate is not the same as Neds.
