my grandson learning cricket isn't easy. The 55 300 is ideal for local cricket with the image quality good enough to crop at the larger grounds, and it's a lot lighter than the Sigma I used to use! IMGP9010 by Mohammed Hussain, on Flickr

Mine still gets used with M42 lenses attached - I can't get rid of it because it was the first digital camera I owned that made me think "this is what a camera should be like"
For 90% of the photos I take I could just as easily swap the K7 with my K3 and not really notice any difference. windermere winter-10 by Mohammed Hussain, on Flickr

Surely you need a disaster/mishap/accident so you can utter the immortal words "sit down and I will put kettle on for a cup of tea" - the classic British response to any emergency.

For those of us who 'learnt the skills' on a Zenit E ( exceedingly simple design along the lines of "what isn't there, can't go wrong".) any of today's cameras are a dream camera.

The last dandelion? Not be many more for them to feast on now autumn is here. Taken with a sigma 17 - 70 , hence the small size but pleased with quality. IMGP7072 by Mohammed Hussain, on Flickr
