I think it is worth it - if it is in OK condition.
Just make sure sure your focus is dead on when shooting wide open.

The Lily (white flower is the best). Suggest you check your histogram for exposure after each shot.
Happy shooting

Picked up the Tamron 90 Di Macro as suggested. It is lovely. Super for Macro work, and gives the FA77 a run for its money for portraiture.
Thanks for the advice.

As far as I understand, Foggy lens clear up after some time. Fungus stays, but can be cleared up with steam & wipe.
Could you post some pictures of the lens

The M135 is sharper. but the sears is softer with warmer color, and I feel better at portraits.
My copy of Sears has the aperture stuck at 2.8, so I cannot comment 100% side by side comparison.
If you want sharpness - go for the M135 - it is extremely sharp at F8.
I personally prefer the Sears for the warmer colors.

You should be able to pick it up on ebay for under $10. The chinese one's are OK, just check it should be mini HDMI at one end for your camera and the other should be whatever your Monitor/TV has.
It worth getting it since the difference in Pict quality is a lot over standard video out.

The DA-40 is perfect.
Pick a point & shoot with HD video (like Boris suggests) for carry about.

Saw the first clip.
Appears to be due to ambient Florescent lighting.
I have a K-7, and have not faced this problem in low light.
The K7 shoots at 30fps and not 25 or 24 fps. I think you have a 50Hz light Source. That would translate to a 5Hz difference and appears to be the cause for banding. try it out with a tungsten light source (normal bulb) and see if you still have the same problem.
