Congratulations America; and welcome to the (mid) 20th century!! :p

Now, if you want to get to the 21st century you'll be needing some sensible gun control and a bit of campaign finance reform...

Poll: Why did you buy a Pentax DSLR?

I chose the K200D largely because of its build quality, ruggedness, and weather sealing. I also had a collection of pentax lenses, AF / K / M42, and wanted to be able to bring them into the digital age.

We have a couple of Nikon D-90s at work and frankly, the 200D kills them. It feels better, works better and has better IQ IMHO.

I started with an old Spotmatic, to teach myself photography and because it was all I could afford, moved on to a SFXn and now have a K200d.

The SFXn is the camera I've taken the most shots with and it has never missed a beat. Tough, reliable, auto modes that work and enough manual control to be creative. The SFXn is a great film camera, everyone should have one!

;-)

P.S. I still use my Spotmatic as well. It will never die.

P.P.S. Anyone know where I can buy a viewfinder cup for my SFXn?

I've been trying to keep a camera on hand at all times. Sometimes the bulk of a DSLR makes it impractical so I'll take a compact. An imperfect image is better than none at all.
