I purchased a 7D on Adorama around 5:25 PM with a extra $50 for overnight shipping. It says orders are processed up until 6 PM. It's 11:30 PM now and my status still says pending. Whats the point in providing overnight shipping services if you cannot make it happen? Its weird because I have only done overnight shipping maybe three times in my life and ever time is a disaster. I figured this time would be different since I am spending $1700 on gear. Oh well... I am new to this forum and already venting! look out!

I was thinking about getting the Tamron SP 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD-IF or the Sigma 50-150mm EX DC HSM II.. Then I thought about getting the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX Aspherical IF EX DG HSM but for $899 the reviews were kind of poor. I cant decide which lens to get! I sold all my older film lenses to get a fast AF lens with a F2.8. I heard the Tamron has excellent IQ but has super slow AF. And I read the Sigma 50-150 is soft after 100mm ... I was actually leaning towards the sigma 24-70 from the start but every review I read is not good...If anyone has any of these lenses can you tell me how it is?
Thanks

I brought my k20D to Puerto Rico and had no problems at the beach. I set up my tripod in the sand and everthing. If its really windy though I wouldent bring it. I would not set it down anywhere when your done. I walked back to the rental car and cracked the windows.

I have a bunch of my uncles old gear and he has a Pentax 2x converter that hooks up to my k20D..but has a screw mount on the other side attacked to a 135mm 2.8 no brand lens. Any clue if this has any value since I don't use it at all?

CS5 is so fast on my PC since it uses the GPU! I have a radion card with 1gig of DDR3 and it runs 10X faster than Paint shop Pro x3. I tested it out with my GPU gadget on win 7 and when I use a Tool like dodging and burning the GPU jumped from 0% to 67% usage. I did the same thing with paintshop but nothing happened. If you have a good video card you will love cs5:)

I recently just photographed my first wedding with my k20D and vivitar TTL flash. I was lucky to be able to barrow my uncles new Sigma 50-150 F2.8 EX DC HSM. The wedding went great but I am looking to by my own lens since I only own older film lenses. I have a old Pentax SMC F2.0 manual lens but I think its too soft wide open. I also have a SMC-FA 80-320 F4.5, SMC-FA 28-80 F3.5, Sigma 70-300 F4.0.... I want the Sigma 50-150 but I dont think I can afford it right now. I heard good reviews on the rokinon 85mm 1.4 manual focus lens ($250) but I don’t think I would benefit on the fixed 85mm. I know that was kind of random for the lens but I am just looking for the cheapest lens for the job so I can save up my money for something better in the future. Any ideas?
Thanks

I loved the lens... the focus was so quite and quick even in low light. For some reason my flash did not fire for that shot but it came out better than the previous ones with a fill flash. It was pretty dark out at the time so F 2.8 came in handy. I can probably edit out the horizon line (: Going to add a few more before I go to work..
