Hay Guys
I have started to shoot more video then i take photos and using rented camera's my old k10d is sat on the side looking sad and only gets use every now and again.
All my friends are raving about the canon 7d and 5d-mk2 for shooting video but if i could just upgrade my pentax body and keep the rest of my kit so i can run out and shoot video on my camera i would be very happy.
now i dont have a lot of money and the k7 is in my budget without to much saving but the k5 is outside my budget but if there are a lot of gains from this camera for video over the k7 then i will make it happen as i only upgrade every now and again as i dont have a mass amount of money coming in, i want the best camera for video.
What would you guys recommend?
Get the k7 or the k5 or get rid of all my pentax kit and go look at someone like cannon?
i am doing my own research but opinions and experience always a help
thanks guys

Hay guys
sorry if this is in the wrong place.
I am looking to make some money from my photos as i wonder around with my k10d and have lots of photos and some of them are good :-D
i would really like to make a little bit of money from them and see my photos being used for something other then filling up my hard drive space.
what is the best way for me to make a little money from my photos i am not after 1000's just them going to use and a little bit of something to justify the money i spend on kit and trips.
i looked at some stock image sites but havent found one i like the sound of yet just wondering what you guys think.
thanks for any help

so the lead works 2 a point as if i touch the conectors on the camera side of the cable the flash fires so the problem is with the connection from the cameras hot shoe to the cable or a setting on the camera not triggering the flash

thanks for the help so far guys been looking how to fix this for ages this is first forum to get some good answers.
the cable has all the right connectors and the camera is speaking to the flash as with the flash connected to the camera by the cable the auto shutter speed of the camera changes to use the flash.
the cable says on it for pentax p-ttl
i have tried the flash in all 3 of its settings (TTL, Mh, Ml)
thanks for any other ideas that might help

Hi guys
sorry i am new here hope this is the right place it feels like a beginners question.
I have a k10d and a Sigma EF-530 DGST i was bought a flash cable as a present ages ago and it never worked i email the company it came from and they said i was doing something wrong and time past.
so the flash works fine on the camera and i can press the test button when its off the camera and it will fire i plug the cable in to the hot shoe on the camera and the flash in to the one on the other end of the cable when i take a photo the flash dosnt fire.
if i zoom in and out on the camera the flash motors move just like it dose when on the camera so some signals are getting to the flash but it still wont fire
please any help
thanks
