OK thank you. That explains why I couldn't find a dial for setting it.
gofour3, that manual explains more than the 6x7 manual I found online. Cheers

Just picked up a Asahi Pentax 6x7 , everything seems to be working well, although I haven't tried a film in it yet.
One thing I don't understand......How do I set the film ASA ?

Freshly charged batteries work ok but don't know for how long, and just worked out the EV needed resetting but the photos are still not what I'd call real clear,

What's your opinion of Pentax Optio E-10 ?
I picked one up for the wife at a garage sale, she doesn't like technology so simple is better.
First off it didn't want to run on any batteries, I tried 5 different sets, NiMH and alkyline, until eventually with NiMH it will now stay on for a few minutes.
Secondly the photos are terrible, they are blurry and dark.

I have a Bell & Howell 1218 that needs repair.
I can't figure out how to remove the case.

I've got a big old Panasonic VHS camcorder that's wrecked electronically.
Just wondering if anyone has ever attempted to convert a camcorder cine lens to fit a Pentax DSLR ?

Also totally free and open source.

Has anyone used a program called Showfoto for metadata info ?
I installed it yesterday. Looks pretty good but I struck a problem.
I wanted to remove a photo from the main view so I right clicked on the photo to see if it had a context menu and yes it does. No remove or close but there is delete. I tried that hoping it would just remove the photo but it actually deleted it from the directory. The astounding thing is that it's not showing up in the recycle bin.
Now it appears as though I've lost that photo altogether.
Do you know a solution ?
