I have had one for several years - smooth as silk through out the focus throw either from macro to infinity or visa-vera -- from the outset. I think you must have a defective lens. T

Not sure whether this info has been posted yet but just picked up an email from Sigma; good news:lol::
Good morning,
If you are receiving this, it is because you had expressed interest in the past regarding a USB Dock for Pentax or Sony. Please know that we have received word from our parent company that we will indeed be making a Dock for both Pentax and Sony in the future. The bad news is that it probably will not be released until March of next year. But I did want to let you know that they have decided to go through with production and that it will be available next year.
