Loved my old 43mm.
Probably more reliable because it doesn't have an SDM, but it is kinda noisy.

Thanks for the possible size break down!
This looks to be a better looking, tougher Nikon D750, with possible the D810's sensor. Can't wait for more details.

DA 15mm f4 Asking Price
400.00 USD Item Location
Orange County (United States) Item Description
Over time, this is the lens that has been on my camera the most. Took it to hike all over California and it is a dream performer. Glass is clean and barrel is smooth. There is are small dents on the lens cap and lens hood but nothing major. Lens functions like a champ. In term of sharpness this lens is right up there with the 77mm and 100mm Macro in my opinion at f5.6. It is by far the most fun lens to shoot with, you just point and shoot, and things will be sharp and in focus.
I am the original owner, bought this back in 2011 and it served me with the highest capability I can ask for in a lens.
Comes with pouch, both lens caps, and box.
Will post photos of the lens tonight.

Pentax FA Limited 77mm f1.8 MIJ Asking Price
650.00 USD Item Location
Orange County (United States) Item Description
This is a tough one, but I've been thinking about this for a while now.
I'm switching over to the Fuji as my main body and having my K5 as backup.
This is one hell of a lens, rated the best Pentax lens by the members of this forum. Tact sharp and built like a tank, glass is clean with no fungus, barrel and aperture ring are smooth. Some marks on the lens cap, but this is to be expected since this lens is nearly 8 years old. I never had to make any adjustment on my camera, I just pop this lens on and start shooting.
One of the classic Made in Japan Factory models. Comes with pouch, paperwork, box, and lens caps.
Will post photos of the lens tonight. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Haha. Honestly, I thought so too for the longest time. It looks so different and it's so compact and it's a convo starter when people see it. But after awhile, it just wears itself out.
I got tired of people coming and saying "har har, where's your lens man?" or "this is a toy?" I know I'm probably in the minority but after while, I just didn't even bother putting it on my camera anymore and just went with the 35mm or the 43mm. It's an incredible performer, but in the end, it was a novelty for me.

I only use primes myself also.
See signature for my lenses.
Lately though, the Fuji weather sealed zooms are really catching my attention.

The best option for Pentax is still the 100mm f2.8 WR Macro.
Tamron 90mm is a steal at the price however, but it's not as well built as the Pentax WR nor does it have weather sealing.
If you're really in budget, I would grab a used A or M 50mm f1.7 or f2.0 and get some extension tubes. You'll need a tripod for Macro shooting and you need to shoot above f5.6 (f8 would be better) to get everything in focus.

DA 35mm is more versatile. It's a classic 50mm on full frame plus it has Macro capabilities. I had the 21mm and the 40mm before too, and the 21 was never THAT sharp or THAT good. Maybe I had a bad copy? I'm always a big fan of the 40mm, but after awhile, it just looks too weird on my camera, so I would opted for a more traditional looking lens.

Bought my Fuji since May and have been using it for over half a year now.
Honestly, I haven't touched my Pentax as much as I used to, I even sold two of my lenses because i just haven't been using them enough.
Even though the body isn't that much smaller than my K5, whenever I hold the Pentax after shooting extensively with the Fuji, right away you feel the weight and the bulk. This is the K5 we're talking about too, one of the most compact high end DSLR bodies out there.
I have the 23mm f1.4 and the 27mm f2.8. I hardly use the 27mm, and I have the 23mm on the body 95% of the time. The lens is incredible. It's quiet, well bulit (but not as well as say a FA limited), sharp, and an absolute bokeh beast. Fuji really knows how to make great lenses. Case in point, I used to have a DA 50-135mm f2.8 and it was not the most reliable lens (SDM failed during shipping of all times). The focusing was slow, it was never tact sharp wide open, and I'm constantly in fear of the SDM; is this the day the motor will fail me? The Fuji 50-140mm 2.8 looks like the lens the Pentax was suppose to be. I have 100% confidence that it will be an amazing lens, most of the early reviews share a similar consensus.
Overall, I'm very happy with the camera and I haven't found any situation (low light included) where I felt like I needed a better body to get the shot I envision in my head. 10/10, Would buy again. |

In photography, bokeh (Originally /ˈboʊkɛ/, /ˈboʊkeɪ/ BOH-kay — also sometimes pronounced as /ˈboʊkə/ BOH-kə, Japanese: [boke]) is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light".

When I first got my 15mm, I really wished the aperture was larger. After owning it for nearly 3 years now, I must say it was the correct decision at f4. This lens is my go to lens during hikes and day time events. It really doesn't matter which aperture I shoot at, all the important parts comes into focus. And the smaller aperture keeps the size down, which I always appreciated.
With this lens on, I just point, compose and shoot. I typically leave it at f5.6 to f8 anyways, and I mainly use this lens during daytime, so low light ability was never a priority. Tack sharp lens and you would not regret having one in your kit; definitely one of the easiest and funniest lens in my lineup.

FA 43mm f1.9 Limited MIJ Asking Price
500.00 USD Item Location
Irvine, California (United States) Item Description
An incredibly sharp and versatile lens. This lens is in great shape, clean, no fungus, and barrel is very smooth. No adjustment needed with my K-5.
There are scruff marks and a noticeable dent on the cap from the previous owner, but the glass and mechanics of the lens are in excellent condition.
This little lens has taken many incredible images, the bokeh is very smooth and the sharpness is razor cut at f4. One of Pentax's all time great lenses.

Bought a K-x back in 09, loved that little white camera and the image quality it produces. Felt lacking in control so I bought a K-5 in 2011. The extra control and increased ISO performance was very welcoming. Auto focus is still... alright, but the thing that annoyed me most was buffer write speed. I take 3-5 burst shots and have to sit through 5-10 seconds before I can preview them, it is really bad.
Bought a Fuji X-T1 earlier this year, loving the camera. Loving the speed, the size, the control, and no more concern about buffering. I take a series of photos and I can review them instantaneously. I actually prefer the Pentax sensor and color rendition and DNG support for raw because I mainly post process in Photoshop, but Fuji's codec is getting better and better.
I am planing to stick with Pentax for at least another year as I use it mainly for hiking trip due to its superior built. Hopefully the FF rumors are true and we'll see a much improved camera by 2015. The K-3 is an incredible camera, but I don't feel the increase in performance justify an upgrade yet. Maybe a FF would, I do have FF glass.
