The last one is me on the right. Shooting wide open @ 1.2 is tricky.
Regarding the dr, I just keep a closer eye on my metering and histogram to make sure I get the exposure I want. Just have to more careful like when your shooting film.
Here are a few more from the zoo.
Sorry about the large size. linking from facebook's "high quality."

Are you the main photographer? if so, i would recommend something longer then 50mm. not sure how large the venue will be but having extra reach can be handy, 17mm is plenty wide for landscape and interior shots. And honestly, your focus is the bride and groom, not "landscape." Wedding move quick. even small ones. you'll be running around trying to get shots of the groom, bride, party, parents, siblings and have little time to wander around looking for landscape shots. Also a second body would be recommended, flash, more memory cards, and a fast 50mm for portraits and low light stuff.

Per the reveiw; "However, overall, the autofocus in the K-5 II is not the big upgrade that Pentax K-5 users have been waiting for. We think that the next step for Pentax is to add more focus points and implement a more powerful motor (perhaps one that is brushless) in order to make their cameras more versatile in everyday shooting conditions, and for shooting fast moving subjects. The Canon and Nikon bodies excel in these areas compared to the Pentax K-5 II."
I might give a k5ii a try but i could sell all my gear and not spend much more switching to a solid and versatile nikon setup. Ill wait till the holidays session is over before I make any moves.

im gonna jump ship. i love the feel and size of my k-5s but its low light af sucks. i have been doing more and more weddings and i am tired of missed shots or ackward delays with guest while waiting for focus to lock. Thinking of going with a d7000 and d700 combo. may keep one of my k-5s and the da15 just for street and car stuff if i can afford it.

all it is basically doing to defocusing the foreground and background plus adding more color saturation. you can do this in photoshop. the trick is to take an image that would suit the effect. Like a busy intersection or high vantage point. |

Honestly any camera will do. Its ones apporach or ability to be unnoticed that needs pratice. Gear wise i would consider the G1x, Rx-100, or Fuji x10/x100
